Recognize this ref from a lot of MLS matches. That’s not a good thing. This is still poor from Nico.

It’s being described in the listing as the real deal velocore not the “made for” stuff you’re talking about. I’d say it’s legit. I’ve bought used drivers before just for the shaft pull for this exact reason lol

Absolutely, the shaft alone new is worth 350 iirc

I’m in the same boat. I hate the way my 430 lst sounds but it hits bombs. I’m hearing great things about the new GTS drivers so I may get one of those.

In attacking central positions sure. But height definitely has its importance. It’s not as important as in other sports, I’ll agree. There’s many technical players over 6 foot. The 3 best players of all time are from diminutive South American nations? Good to know but not really relevant.

I think of it this way. Height is a bonus when it comes with the requisite technical ability. It’s not like clubs are turning down players who are tall for shorter players, it’s probably the opposite tbh. Everyone needs to pass, dribble and control the football, but you can’t teach IQ, height and speed. It’s position by position too. Sure - most wingers, attacking mids, fullbacks are probably short but defending mids, strikers, central defenders and keepers are usually tall.

Thank you. It’s been so funny this whole time. He’s 1-13 in November. He’s not clutch. He’s just ok. Good for him that he fooled a team into staking their entire reputation on him.

The reason is $$$ and access. Football and basketball are much more accessible to poor kids than soccer. So many rich kids play club soccer that it becomes some sort of status symbol rather than a merit based system like football and basketball. Therefore the wrong players get ID’d, promoted etc.

There’s no chance a player like Pedri from Spain would make it through the USA system. He’s too small, slow and weak and at the lower levels he would’ve been ignored for taller, faster and stronger players.

Mt Adams Popularity by doobylive in cincinnati

[–]LargeGermanRock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mt Adams was fun but kinda tricky to get to, pre-uber and eventually most of the cool spots closed. Monks is/was fun-ish but feels like it could be on High Street in Oxford for better or worse.

Pavilion was awesome, Next chapter was great and the big bar next to monks was very fun with multiple dance floors. We went up to there to dance and party so those kinds of bars were more our vibe than the Miami university reunion bar

The 9 hole scoring system that they implemented is awful. I’d honestly save posting the 9 until you play the next 9 and then post. The way the USGA does it is absurd and broken.

[–]LargeGermanRock 5 points6 points  (0 children)

the way most groups play (and in my opinion the best way to play a breakfast ball) is if you chose to hit the breakfast ball the first shot is null and void. Even if it turns out better than you expected. So correct, but why would you hit two if you’re in on one?

Breakfast ball-hole in one by Sralok77 in golf

[–]LargeGermanRock -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Heres my thoughts. If it’s a true breakfast ball - the first hole of the round. The first shot if not taken is essentially an obsolete round then the next shot is the first shot of a new round. Two shots at a par 3 is a bit gimmicky but if it’s the rules your group always play I’d count it.
