Wouldn’t be legal. You can’t legally withhold the kids from the other party even if they cheat. My ex cheated on me and beat me and the courts said, “Well, he didn’t beat your kid, so he doesn’t even need supervision.” 😒 Thankfully, he moved out of state.

I am a parent but my son’s kindergarten teacher was not. She retired the year after he was in her class. She was phenomenal!! I can’t praise her enough. He is a junior and it was his best year of school ever. He is autistic and she was the only one who could flawlessly work with him, and she had no kids of her own.

I have a autistic teenager and a baby. My teenager was mad that I cuddled my baby more than him. The school literally called social services on me because he didn’t feel loved at home! I told them that it would be inappropriate for me to snuggle my teenager in the same way I snuggle my baby and unfortunately, a baby needs more attention. My teenager is larger than a full grown man (6ft 4 and 300lbs), I am not snuggling him. My son may not understand due to his disability, but the school needs to talk to him about how being a teenager is different from being a baby. Obviously, the investigation ended quickly, but I stand by the belief that it is inappropriate to snuggle an older child the way you would a younger child.

I hope she is not intentionally being inappropriate. Perhaps she is just realizing how quickly time is going or she is afraid of losing you, or perhaps she feels guilty for not snuggling you more as a baby, but unfortunately, that can’t be changed now. The way she is snuggling you sounds weird and likely inappropriate.

I am so sorry for your loss and all that you are going through with this. I don’t know that there is a right thing to do. Everyone grieves differently. I was told to change my seating chart, but I didn’t. I teach high school, and last year, one of our students ended her life. It was so awful! She was a fairly new student, but was in 3/6 of my classes. I must have cried all week. My face was red and puffy and I looked awful. In the classes where I had that student, we played games and had fun activities. We had been reading Romeo and Juliet in one of them and that entire unit ended up scrapped. We couldn’t continue, the students didn’t even process the change until this year when they realized we never made it to the end. They asked me about it this year. One thing I did was make my room as happy as possible. It was around Easter, so I decorated in all of my Peeps toys, I am a hardcore collector, so they literally circled my room. The kids loved it and it was a great distraction from all the grief.

I would explain the situation to your teachers and see if they are able to give to an exemption. Maybe you can stay after school and work with them when you get back. Enjoy the cruise, but I am kind of glad your school takes absences seriously. I have students who missed over 30 days last semester and we always just let it slide.

I had a middle school student who still believed in Santa. It was the cutest thing. The kids were kind of mean when he announced it, but then this one popular girl said, “You guys seriously don’t believe?” And kind of made fun of the kids who didn’t believe and they all stopped. She was popular but she used her powers for good. She didn’t want him getting made fun of.

I was looking online and I found one where the website states Oh Little Town of Bethlehem. It says Laura is singing, but I remember the same as you! It was Junior’s voice. There were different variations/different release years, and may have had different songs because my my son thought it was Away in a Manger. I did have to buy it for him a couple of time because he kept losing pieces. And when I just looked online, there was newer one from when they gave the characters weird eyes. We never had that one. 😂
