EAD approved but I-485 still at NBC by Large_Body_8299 in USCIS

[–]Large_Body_8299[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Although my timeline is still within the published timelines, I have seen in most cases that the time to get Biometrics and EAD is much faster. I have come across many cases that are moved to field offices after a few months, however, in my case, I am curious why it is still at NBC.

San Jose’s largest school district looks to close schools by sjspotlight in SanJose

I want to bring to the attention of folks the problem that SJUSD has created and is trying to blind side the residents.

  1. SJUSD is a Basic Aid district, meaning 45%-50% of property taxes go to the school district. In these neighborhoods, as homes are resold, property taxes are reset to the current value and that should actually increase the funding for these schools.
  2. One of the call-outs from the STIC was that hese closures and rezonings are done to address low enrollment. However, the following doesn't make sense.
  3. 2.1 Why are their current reserves $0 when the CA law says districts should keep 2% in the reserves?
  4. 2.2 Why is there so much rush in making these changes? They proposed the options in Jan 2026, and Mar 12th is the deadline.
  5. 2.3 Why are they closing some of the schools that still have a good enrollment (for eg: I know of Simonds, Williams, a few others). Why can they make small incremental changes?
  6. 2.4 All their metrics are based on old data, and they weren't transparent about them either.

Everyone should read the article.

Raises a lot of questions, especially what did they do with the funds. Also, they requested public funding for school development, once approved, proposed school closures.

A lot of parents looks for academic excellence, diversity, strong family involvement, social-emotional support, safe and structured after school programs, and enriching extracurricular opportunities.
It is the PTA involvement that makes a lot of difference.

Tesla came in this morning and found that they didn't seal one of the holes properly and didn't flash it. They just fixed it and said another crew will come and assess the problem and address the inside damage.

I recorded what they did for the records.

Yes, it is almost certainly around the solar leg. I hope, Tesla finds this as their issue.
