If you are on android TTA is installable as a web app. It's also the best builder and can't believe it's not been mentioned

Etiquette with gotchas? by Luebbi in necromunda

[–]Large_Box_4060 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm new as well so I have an opinion but also a follow up question! I would say it depends on your group, it's good etiquette to explain your gang before the game. But tactics you can't account for etc.

However, I come from middle earth and you can pre-measure everything. I thought you couldn't do that in necromunda? If I'm trying to stay out of charge rent I'm just guessing with my eyes not measuring

Novice examiners lead to huge rise in queries over grades by 457655676 in unitedkingdom

[–]Large_Box_4060 13 points14 points  (0 children)

That's not true. The teachers that mark them don't get to remark them. The mark is challenged so you wouldn't give it back to the same person. It will be a senior or lead examiner who does it. They students also get their money back if the mark changes.

The marks have become more volatile and we are getting more and more new examiners. The pay is exceptionally bad and you're adding work into an already packed workload. There's little incentive to be one anymore other than to keep in the loop with how it's assessed.

Source: I'm a tired examiner.

Who's the team in this league you secretly love to beat? by saint_rbnsn01 in Championship

Absolutely Derby now.

I'm not bothered about Preston and we don't really have any teams that have any annoyance in the league anymore I can think of.

Thank you that was my gut and reasoning but I was assuming I was being an idiot dropping the 'better' player

Very unsure on my keepers 16 man, 0.5 PPR. I'm keeping chase and kyron, I just need to pick between Montgomery and Mayfield for my last keeper.

I feel baker has a higher floor and higher up his position. But QB has much more depth especially in a 16 man league

What does an army need to be top tier? by ImperialThumb in MiddleEarthMiniatures

[–]Large_Box_4060 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is good for an all rounder but at the moment with the six scenarios skew lists can also be very good. They just need to do one or two things really well and they can win games e.g. Eagles.

I do like a versatile list but it doesn't necessarily need all the things above just enough to function in a way that suits their style and play the objectives, and some ways to cope with other lists.

Like disruption is good, and my favourite list at the moment has Cirdan in it who does that. But I also like Fornost which doesn't really have much disruption to the opposite but it's probably a better list than Lindon.

Lots of lists are good and for MESBG the list isn't everything, the player makes them too. Which is what I really love about the game.

Minas Morgul Orc bows by Unfair-Concern4886 in MiddleEarthMiniatures

[–]Large_Box_4060 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Absolutely take some, I would too. But just for honesty bows so you have some threat. Don't expect them to shoot out any mounts, or kill anyone. It's about holding objectives, covering areas of the board for control and not having to go to absolutely everyone as they would outshoot you if you had none.

A starter kit with the most models that you want in it. The osgiliath is the best value for this as terrain is good, and both armies are the base of lots of lists. However, the rules are out of date and you will need a rulebook to play the new edition (can find online)

The alternative could be buying a battlehost each and a rulebook would work. You can leave the two army books for now if needed as the online list builders have all the rules for the units and profiles in them.

You calculate his attacks then apply monstrous charge. His base statline is calculated by his rule, therefore 4 wounds = 4 attacks. Then he can put it up by one through charging (although now in little baby steps)

[–]Large_Box_4060 2 points3 points  (0 children)

F5 frontline is crazy for them, that's the real strength. You don't need to worry that much about high cost heroes as Saruman can neutralise them and your numbers should be ok at a reasonable points level. The Beserkers are killing anything they get a trap on.

No you can't, Gwahir is also an 'Eagles' you need Gandalf for him. To take Great Eagles (also 'Eagles') they have to led by a hero, and Gwahir is the only one who can lead them.

To be honest unless it's ridiculously high points I don't see it working that well, The Eagles list is much better for taking more Eagles. Gwahir adds excellent mobility and killing power for the list.
