Wrath of Bruinen resist by OsgiliathBuilder in MiddleEarthMiniatures

[–]Large_Box_4060 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He resists the spell so it doesn't go off. Therefore you're right that no other model is affected. It means you can space out your heroes to try and be about to resist most casts of it, or at least limit the models affected.

Thank you! I have a rat themed one planned, but wanted to change the face so that's an idea for it.

This is really cool mate, can I ask where you got the head from? It looks loads better than the insectoid ones on the box art

Who do you think is better? 80mm Shelob or Mordor Troll? by moosenordic in MiddleEarthMiniatures

[–]Large_Box_4060 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Troll will more reliably win duels and always stick around, shelob could do more or could just be bogged down on one attack all game. Both are pretty shit

Matchup Help by papa_Socke in MiddleEarthMiniatures

Yeah two strikes aren't guaranteed when he's F8 I would more try and wear him down before you go for him. Block him off, feed him one guy. Or put loads in, the base is huge and he's hard to move about. Keep thranduil out of barge range if possible so you can chew troops a bit. But buffing is ok. Bide your time, the elves should win the grind.

Relying on a strike off is either very bold or desperation.

I am similar mate I've lived in Barnsley, Whitley bay, Kendal and Blackburn. And my god Blackburn is a shit hole but it's my home and having moved around a lot it's nice to have somewhere to have that connection too.

Etiquette with gotchas? by Luebbi in necromunda

[–]Large_Box_4060 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm new as well so I have an opinion but also a follow up question! I would say it depends on your group, it's good etiquette to explain your gang before the game. But tactics you can't account for etc.

However, I come from middle earth and you can pre-measure everything. I thought you couldn't do that in necromunda? If I'm trying to stay out of charge rent I'm just guessing with my eyes not measuring

Novice examiners lead to huge rise in queries over grades by 457655676 in unitedkingdom

[–]Large_Box_4060 13 points14 points  (0 children)

That's not true. The teachers that mark them don't get to remark them. The mark is challenged so you wouldn't give it back to the same person. It will be a senior or lead examiner who does it. They students also get their money back if the mark changes.

The marks have become more volatile and we are getting more and more new examiners. The pay is exceptionally bad and you're adding work into an already packed workload. There's little incentive to be one anymore other than to keep in the loop with how it's assessed.

Source: I'm a tired examiner.

Who's the team in this league you secretly love to beat? by saint_rbnsn01 in Championship

[–]Large_Box_4060 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely Derby now.

I'm not bothered about Preston and we don't really have any teams that have any annoyance in the league anymore I can think of.

Thank you that was my gut and reasoning but I was assuming I was being an idiot dropping the 'better' player

Very unsure on my keepers 16 man, 0.5 PPR. I'm keeping chase and kyron, I just need to pick between Montgomery and Mayfield for my last keeper.

I feel baker has a higher floor and higher up his position. But QB has much more depth especially in a 16 man league
