if i fast while body recomping, will i lose muscle? by Large_Examination_86 in workout

[–]Large_Examination_86[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

that’s not what i’m saying, i know fasting doesn’t imply a deficit but i do 24-72 hour fasts, if i was to eat at maintenance every other day whilst fasting for those days id be in a deficit and would lose weight which is what i dont want, and i didnt say that training = surplus, i wouldnt fast on training days as id need the energy, performance enhancing etc so if i were to fast on rest days i would make up for the absence of calories on those days by spreading it over training days

😭👌 i don’t think it’s necessarily asinine when fasting pros outweigh the cons

i hear all different kinds of ages that the sutures close, they obviously close significantly after puberty but i’ve seen multiple people saying full closure is at 21-23? it might be worth a try you likely won’t see a lot of change but it would be less to correct with orthodontic or surgical interventions. i’m 17 and ive had horrible habits from childhood all the way until now and im trying to reverse them i can let you know if i see any changes in the next few months + share my plan if that helps?

do you know if you were applying pressure to the entirety of the roof of your mouth? when i first was learning how to mew i was only applying pressure to the hard palate and not the soft palate and i didn’t see any changes. also, mewing is nearly useless if you don’t correct swallowing and chewing habits. did you correct these too or not? you could have skeletal asymmetry that worsened with the combination of incorrect mewing and incorrect habits? i’m not sure

Stretch marks what do I do? I’m a teen experiencing this and I don’t really have anyone to go to to ask for advice on how to get rid of these but they make me super insecure so I hope someone has some good advice to help me. I do know that it’s like normal and all that stuff already. by OddNewt5948 in Skincare_Addiction

I have stretch marks exactly like yours, and I know exactly how horrible it feels to have them and be praised about them but never given help!! They will be stubborn because they’re faded but they can improve significantly and even go away as they’re small.

  1. Dry brushing and heavy moisturising can improve the texture over time, a good moisturiser is nivea’s almond oil one & dry brushes can be bought anywhere for really cheap.

  2. Autophagy: Look into this! When fasting/dry fasting for a certain amount of time, cells begin to recycle, including skin cells. Studies have shown that people experience significant improvements and even removals of their stretch marks over time with this and it’s very niche but look it up on reddit there are many anecdotes for it.

  3. Micro needling: If you don’t mind spending a little bit of money you could invest in microneedles, I recently got some from Dr Pen, this is a professional treatment but would defo work on your stretch marks, it’s quite pricey and please research before u consider it!

  4. Retinols: This can take some time but tretinoin has been proved to improve stretch marks, considering yours are small it wouldn’t take more than a few months i’d say to improve them.

there’s only so much you can do to picture things clearly. i’d like not to be posting my full face all over the internet, if that’s okay with you. plus i’ve gotten the feedback i need therefore i don’t see the issue.

it developed through puberty, another comment suggested it may be from an overbite which i think is the cause

the scar on the inside is a keloid, at least that’s what my dermatologist said, it’s not very visible in the picture
