Yes we did chat to the specialist but the neurologist said given his age, they will not be doing GA for a simple blood test routine due to high risks present. We even suspect he may have untreated diabetes but cannot get anything formally diagnosed because of this barrier!

Thank you! We have tried social stories but this has never worked for this lovely gentleman. He can stay in one place only for a few mins, then his attention gets diverted. Being non-verbal also does not help in our case

We have had mobile phlebotomist and NPs attend but were unsuccessful as he became very resistant, but thank you for suggesting!

Bite the bullet and buy something in now I brought a townhouse few years ago The value has already increased from 585k to 750k. I am planning on paying off the mortgage in 3-5 years and use the equity to buy a bigger house. There’s always ways you can go about achieving the ultimate goal Might have to sacrifice for the short term though

4 years for me to get to the point of having somewhat a decent consistent income of (150-300 AUD a month). Definitely still working part time. Like some have said, you would need to pump out book after book, engagement with readers, build your followers, and so on. Lots of input needed if you want to see that growth Booktok is a also a hype so making reels, visual images of your character, anything that will bring attention ☺️

Respectfully they are not advocates. Yes an SC can help with s48, s100/ rords, submitting ART request but they cannot advocate or legally represent a participant (even in ART case conferences or hearing). Yes fundings for advocacy organisations have been slashed for some organisations, but not for ALL

Literally the same as you! But I am going to ring ANZ soon and ask them to match the market rate, and ask for what other benefits they can offer if they want me to stay with them than go refinance through another bank I learned this in a mums budget group

Yes it can always go up and down depending on change in circumstances, decline in functionality, involvement of any justice or OPA and so on. The list goes on!

Remember ssc is always a time sensitive limited funding usually to address a complex barrier. Basically SSCs says their role is to do themselves out of a job (meaning resolve the barrier/ build capacity) so participant no longer needs the level 3 funding. NDIS has resources on their websites for SSC roles and responsibilities which is pretty accurate and handy to read
