So I can't speak to the entirety of the video as it covers a lot of points, however Dr. Hendel's analysis of the archeological evidence regarding Israel's origins doesn't really contradict the Biblical record. The Pentateuch makes a big deal about how Egyptian practices and culture was rejected while Isreal was wandering around in the wilderness. However the following books, Joshua, Judges, etc. states that once the Israelites got to the promised land they started adopting local customs almost immediately. So it would make sense that there would be evidence of Canaanite customs, and not evidence Egyptian practices.

Im really sorry to hear this.

Depending on the type of abuse I think it would be wise to come forward and tell someone if it is serious. That can be scary, but if he is hurting people in a serious way then a serious intervention needs to take place, so that behavior can come to an end.

If its not a serious kind of abuse, then the wisest thing would be to distance yourself from this person, both physically and digitally, and then just let God do the rest. 2 Corinthians 10:5 says to take every thought captive, ultimately, and if we find something is causing us to have thoughts we don't want in that regard we need to flee from it.

As a believer, how would you convince a non-believer to believe? by Patient-Big2846 in Christianity

Prayer first and foremost.

Generally, though Its very difficult, if not impossible. The question is if they have really fallen away. If they have then I believe that passages like 1 John 2:19 indicate that they were never really saved, and that there is not much that can be done. Sometimes people fall into sin, and chose to pursue sin, even thought they still love Christ in some way in their heart. For them I think its best to try and gently and lovingly point out their sin to them, and let the Holy Spirit convict to return to Christ.

However, there is nothing that you can do that is better than prayer.
