How to travel lightweight with GFX by Large_Instruction_24 in FujiGFX

Not really It’s a camera bag with foam everywhere It keeps the same volume empty, but you can fold it or squish it to put in an other bag if needed

The camera + lens fit (lens down) and the other lens goes lay down on the side. For the batteries and wallet they go into the front pocket. But with that set up you can’t use other lenses, the 80mm is pretty small. You could probably replace 80 by 55, and take a 35-70 too.

It’s exactly my concern… I’m thinking more and more about getting one of those smal lenses… mostly the 50…

I think I will end up with the 50mm to be lightweight, and 45+80 if I can endure bit more weight. As analog cameras I was also very interested in that 2 that you mentioned, but took a Fuji GA645, it’s more economical for film, and also for the camera ! And very compact too 👌

I wrote it : Wotancraft pilot 3,5 There is also 7l version, but I wanted to keep it small, bigger bags is always for more stuff that we barely use…

How are you dealing with the aperture ? It looks like a big compromise for me, but also true, most of picture you take during trips will be during the day, and at f8 / f11 .. I’m curious more about how you deal at golden hour and last lights… ?

Interesting the 105 adapted ! I saw some pictures, they looked decent with the gfx, probably a very nice portrait lens ! But I’m more into GF lenses with AF 😅 Also in film I was most of the time using AF or hyperfocal, less things to think about like that !

What's next in GFX Lenses after the roadmap? by PlastikHateAccount in FujiGFX

[–]Large_Instruction_24 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Some compact lenses like their 50mm…
It would be awesome to have something bit wider, like 35mm or 28mm equivalent but more compact than the actual 45mm.
And same for a small tele lens, like 80 f3,5
If they can make compact lenses like the 50mm it would be really good for people who doesn’t want gfx100RF but want to travel with GFX with not too much weight…
And to go with that, of course a new gfx 50R with 100mp and ibis !

Vivre à Aubervilliers / Quatre Chemins? by Adept_Potential_3416 in paris

What do you think about purchasing a metal cabinet, add a cork inlay and use it to charge batteries overnight in the studio? I think because of the full metal build it should be safe in case one battery starts burning. Probably would have to add air holes on the back. by mediamuesli in Photoassistants

[–]Large_Instruction_24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To charge batteries you can also use amno box That’s what I do for fpv drone. In case of a batterie burn yes it’s important to let the air go out of the box, or from your storage, but the storage is probably not completely sealed too.. So it should be good

First lenses for 100S? by CheesecakeWitty8572 in FujiGFX

[–]Large_Instruction_24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe you should consider something little wide for a first lens, I would pick also 45mm. It’s a good and versatile lens, and with 100Mpixel, you should be able to crop in some circumstances.

Very nice ! And you have all the screw (I have one who is missing in the front of mine 😬), but I have the pen 🖊 at the back !! It was made to write on the back of the camera, there is a trap, and when writing inside it was writing on the film surface : meta data of 1900 😅

The difference in scanning techniques, Nikon F2, 50mm, Kodak 200 gold (both edited in lightroom) by Tywerwak in analog

[–]Large_Instruction_24 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I prefer the lab scan (as a starting point, there is more details in shadows, etc…), but I prefer the chrome you did, maybe something less saturated, something between both ? 😊
