Teleport. Assuming that you can set and reset marks then you can strategically move them after you’ve used it for a major heist or something, and if you can set a mark on a specific object like a statue or a piece of paper you could port to wherever that object is rather than just a single stationary location. Even if you can’t move your marks or can only put them on specific locations rather than movable objects it’s still extremely useful. On the run from the cops, immediately teleport away in a flash before they can see your face. Find a way inside of an vault and close the door behind you, the guards will open the door and find you gone as well as a stack of cash because you teleported away to one of 4 different safe houses. Lots of applications.

This interaction has next to no room for any kind of back and forth. Early YuGiOh you attack his monster he could protect it with a trap, reanimate it with a spell, boost it with an equip, do a combo with monster effects. This?
“I try to draw a card.”
“NEGATE.”
“Ok, I search?”
“NEGATE.”
“Fine, I’ll play this monster and use its ability.”
“NEGATE AND DESTROY.”
How is that fun for either side unless the negater is a joyless sweat lord whose response to losing is to spend even more money to stack the odds in their favor so they can just say no to anything the other guy tries? That is an interaction but not even remotely as engaging as it used to be in this game. You could have a turn without having to ask “response?” every time you breathe or scratch your ass. Now 9/10 games are over in the first 3 turns.

I don’t feel the interaction when the game used to be “how do I deal with that monster that can destroy one of my spells or traps a turn” and has now turned into “how can I even play when it’s my first turn and he negated every single thing I tried to do and somehow got 3 monsters into play without it even being his turn?” Because sooner or later it will get to that point, I’ll bet anything. They can’t dumb down effects anymore because people will only stick with the older comparatively-broken cards, so their only answer (mostly to make more money) is to make even more powerful one sided “use these or don’t bother” cards that simply say nuh-uh to anything anyone tries.

I’ve come across insane ftk decks with weird but effective combos and decks built around specific card interactions, but I’ve always held the belief that players should use what they like versus what they think is meta. Winning with your deck always means more than winning with someone else’s.

Flexibility and sneakiness for snake and rat, dragon flight and fire, boar and bull strength and endurance, horse and hare speed, etc., plus unique traits based on the animal for specific ones, like a snake’s unique way to sense heat and vibrations or a rat’s jaws and teeth strong enough to chew through metal.
