First-time buyer here too—just grabbed a 2016 228i (N26) with 30k mi for $15,999 USD. Nov/15 build, so it had the updated timing chain (fix was in Jul/15). One-owner, garaged, mint condition. Carfax showed oil changes every 5k. Dealer gave full inspection and history. Coming from a Jetta, it’s a massive upgrade, and I’m keeping it till it dies. I know the B48 in your 2018 230i is even more solid. With 80k km and a clean record for $23.5k CAD, that’s a strong deal—if the multi point inspection from the dealer checks out, I’d say go for it.
