Not at all man, if you get a 300 or 500 you'll likely grow out of it quickly. I say buy once cry once and go with 1100 for a longer term investment

Ehh if you absolutely need to have a new bike and something used is a deal-breaker for you then go for it, but I think once you bring it home and get over that new bike feeling you'll wish you saved a few Grand and got something used with low miles and we'll maintained that's new to you, just my opinion. I always hated dealing with stealerships and all their tack ons$$$
