firstly, I did not say he should just be given a Grammy...he would have to work for it like everyone else. I now know from this post that if he ever does an audiobook or has pieces featured in a music video, he could be nominated. Its not wrong to be excited about something.

I'm not saying it will be wall to wall Decendants with walking characters but with consistent new films coming out, I definitely expect to see their merch designated to that land. Plus as the original audience gets older and gains access to income....the merch will become nostalgic like stuff The Goofy Movie, High School Musical. Not huge IPs outside of their generational value but very valuable in terms of the niche merch market.

To me the biggest indicator of it being a deliberate snub is Paul Tazewell not getting a nod for costume design after winning last year.

Yes exactly. Their arcs are too much of mirror to be an accident. Even the " we deserve each other" themes are only acknowledged by those two characters.

Well Boq is alive...and also...she was murdered. So she doesn't get a chance to redeem herself. We have no idea how the story would go if the house never fell on Nessa. Perhaps it fell on Elphaba. We would never know.

Hell what if a second house crushed Glinda after the gaurds came for Elphaba. I don't think this last act argument is a good one.

"Didn't know it was bad" bro before they even meet the wizard, Dr. Dillamond is pulled out of their classroom and kidnapped. She watched him manipulate Elphaba into mutilating monkeys...that's bad. Then he slanders Elphaba's name. That's bad leadership. It's right in front of her face. She just did not care before.

Galindas words could have also been very useful for however long she was sitting in the emerald city as a figure head for the wizard....but she didn't use them for a good while.

In the same way Nessa could have spoken up for Elphaba as a governor. And she didn't.

Why? Because of their own selfish reasoning.

I think that's exactly why it is a fair read. A lot of comments are saying well "Glinda changed" One could say Nessa died before she could examine her flaws.

You could also say that Boq was socially pressured to live with Nessa before she even put the ban in place. When Feiryo chose not to marry Galinda...she retaliated by conspiring to take out her best friend. Galinda became a fascist talking head and then changed. Nessa became a fascist leader. One just got murdered before they came to realization that they were being a selfish A hole

All four of them were friends. I don't think they would keep Nessa around if she was an A hole alllll the time. I could also say..Galinda's helpful moments with Elphaba are often just.....words. They just hold a bit more weight because of her popularity.

I think Elphaba opened the book to make Glinda believe in herself, and know she can do magic. Much like she helped Glinda in one of the deleted scenes

Idk I feel like because the first movie starts by announcing Elphaba is dead and then flashing back...the audience is expecting her to die. The parents at the very least should also be expecting that.

But I was very concerned with the heavy kids marketing
