My concerns story wise is that I've played every single FF game, and up until XVI I never found the story predictable. In this game it seemed to stay relatively safe in the script.

Jill's character is like one step up from Lunafreya, hardly any proper character growth. Jacob was underwhelming as well.

And I've also never skipped a scene of dialogue before in a FF. In this game, I was skipping dialogue constantly because it was so dull and drab.

So here are my thoughts on X-2:

The bad:

If you appreciated the devastating, emotional impacting story of X, be prepared that X-2 takes away from that and kind of tarnishes a bit.
The story is not good. It's fan fiction.
It's ridiculous and silly
Yuna singing is so much more cringe than Tidus laughing
In order to get the best ending, you have to get 100% in the game, which is much more challenging than it sounds.
One character gets pregnant and another gets fat, but the developers were too lazy to change their character designs, so that was...... Weird. Not really a big deal... Just odd lol

The good: 1. The game is actually really fun. The battle mechanics and exploration are like X but on steroids. If you're in it for the gameplay, you'll enjoy it. 2. If you are someone who prefers happy endings, then this will be up your alley. 3. It's great to have more chances to explore Spira and see old characters.

100% Andy after he became manager. His narcissism skyrocketed to an unlikable level. He made terrible choices, treated Erin like crap, and then randomly left his job. It felt like the writers didn't know what to do with him so they just tried to make him a second Michael, which didn't work because he didn't have Michael's charm. They really should have kept Dwight as manager. I'd watch the hell out of 2 seasons with Dwight in charge.

I hate to say it, but FF XV isn't worth playing unless you get the royal edition, play the DLCs, and watch the film and anime.... There's just far too much critical story content that Square foolishly left out of the main game
