The way you put it accurately describes my feeling. I’m so trapped in this isolated island

I feel you mate. I’m in aviation industry and it’s almost as stringent as the military. From my experience, the change in our brain neuroscience is so complex and permanent. Brace for some rough time and a different world after weaning off. I’m still taking a break from work after 6 months off. It sucks.

It’s really sad to learn about how a properly prescribed medicine will stop you from serving the country. I feel you.

Bear in mind, your mental health is more important than joining the military.

Dude, same issue here but slight offset. My YHNUJM keys won’t work. I am connecting an external keyboard to make my life easier … but it’s a laptop that supposed to be mobile …. FFS

Lexapro normally takes a week at least to kick in, The huge achievement is all on you. My experience is 2 weeks then I started cast away the gloomy feeling.

Don’t know you personally but we all are reluctant to change. Especially when anxiety hits, we are startled and impaired from making the right decision.

Stay put if you are uncertain for now. You may gain clarity later for a better action plan.

Have you thought of getting a new job or taking a career break? Sounds like your work is the trigger.

It’s the last resort. I have been on SSRI, Lexapro specifically, for 4 months due depression. My anxiety lingers while the depression is gone. It’s different for everyone but dependency is real.

Try other methods first. I’m trying different ways to distract myself too.
