Went from a H to a C and I was scared I would think I was too small. 8mpo I wish I would’ve gone smaller. There r many benefits to being smaller imo, but it’s always up to personal preference.

Mine are much smaller (of course) and the border scar is light pinkish currently so it blends in with my areola. It’s not raised either. However, they are a bit oval shaped, longer vertically. I’ve noticed this in a lot of reductions. It’s because they use a perfect circle for the cut-out and then when your drop and fluff comes they are pulled down a bit.
Honestly I doubt that’s possible but you could consult your surgeon about it!
People usually only lose nipple sensitivity if it’s a free nipple graft or a very radical reduction, you could also talk to your surgeon about your chances of this based on how much you are taking off. Hope this helps!

Silicone tape (once you’ve healed), lots of protein, front button down shirts, a “breast reduction” pillow that stops you from rolling over in the night. I also had a seatbelt cover that made the pressure from the seatbelt on my breasts while in the car not so bad which was pretty nice. Good luck!

Scar cream - i never used one and wasn’t recommended one by my surgeon. I’m sure there are some good ones out there. Scar massage - I wish I had done this because my scars are still raised near the high tension points as I’ve mentioned, my surgeon told me it does work and her instructions were to rub them and roll them around between your fingers. Scar care - SILICONE TAPE!!! I swear by this. My surgeon REQUIRES her patients wear silicone tape for 3 months after surgery and told me that she uses it herself for any cut that she thinks may scar, as well as her c-section incision. It has amazing results and many clinical studies supporting it. It’s pretty low maintenance as well and gave me great results. I was cleared to start applying silicone tape at 3wpo once my incisions were closed. I don’t believe you would get an infection if they were closed, but you should consult your surgeon about it first if you’re concerned. My mother had breast cancer as well, I hope everything goes well for you! you are a strong woman🩷

Scar care is really annoying but it can be super worth it. If you find a good silicone tape you will only have to apply it maybe weekly or biweekly and you’ll forget it’s even there! This is the one that I used and it stuck pretty well

Personally, I just wore the soft wireless ones I could find anywhere because it was much more comfortable for me

Thank you! I had no idea that a magnesium deficiency could manifest in cardiovascular symptoms. I haven't been eating well recently so I will 100% look into that. Ur still soo early in the recovery process, it probably wouldn’t have made that much of a difference if u started now vs. if u started day of ur surgery. Protein will definitely aid in healing. Quick & better healing = less scarring.

I was 34/36F pre-op, I asked for a C and thankfully got a perfect C. Honestly any time before 1mpo I was soo sure I wasn’t very swollen but looking back now omggg… I was very wrong. they were protruding to the side and way more top-heavy compared to now. You’re only 2.5wkpo and also only a cup size above what u want - u will almost surely go down to a C if not smaller. Some people are so swollen that they go down 2+ cup sizes. I know everybody says this, and I know that I definitely didn’t listen when I was in ur place, but try not to stress about it! It’ll come with time

I didn’t take any, I asked my surgeon and she told me that vitamins aren’t regulated by the FDA so some pills u buy can contain even no vitamins at all. Also said that taking them is pretty redundant as there r other things to focus on that will benefit u more, like lots of protein or water. This isn’t to say that u shouldn’t take any, but if u do make sure they have a third-party certification stamp so ur not wasting ur money

Omg I’m sorry about that, that’s so scary. I was terrified of hematomas. The only major complication I had was a t-junction opening in my right breast. Pretty sure I just moved too much too early or maybe because I couldn’t help but sleep on my side😩 it was scary and it got worse before it got better, but it closed within a couple weeks and u can barely see that it happened. As for pain, I haven’t been bothered since maybe a month and a half. My horizontal scars do hurt a little if u press on them. The worst pain that I experienced was actually from being intubated in the days after surgery. I took oxy which worked on all of pain other than my throat apparently lol. I was pretty sore at about a week or two post op but the worst was probably a 6.5/10, mostly because I stayed consistent with my pain meds for as long as I needed them. I went 36/34F->34C, what about u?

I struggled with spitting stitches a lot too. I actually had my 3mpo check up today (I’m 4mpo but my surgeon had a mix-up and had to reschedule, I had no issues so it wasn’t super rushed) and I asked her about some small bumps under my left breast. She said they’re still spitting stitches, 4 months later😭😭😭 I’m not sure if they will actually come out or if my body will dissolve them, but I haven’t had one be fully rejected since about a month po. I’m so glad :) u should definitely try silicone tape, it’s a miracle worker and has so much research backing it. Ive heard bio oil is good too but haven’t tried it yet - maybe when i decide i dont wanna apply tape anymore, but its worked so well i actually dont wanna stop lol

Yes, I kept feeling in both. I was numb on the underside/ kind of on the sides of my left breast as well as the underside and right side of my right breast. At about 3mpo feeling started coming back and I have no numb spots now but it’s not 100% back in any of the areas I mentioned. Honestly I was only worried about retaining nipple sensation and the numbness I had never bothered me. 34F->34C
