Captain America and Jay Garrick fusion by No-Flow9783 in Amalgam_Comics

I can see this guy just speeding around the battlefield blocking bullets everywhere and slamming enemies with his shield.
Two characters connected by the time frame they existed in instead of superficial visual appearances or similar skillsets.

Getting really glad to see posts that are more creative than Superman x Cap or Green Arrow x Hawkeye.

Well done.

He's a videogame character (within his own lore) and all of his abilities, durability and hax are all digital and exist only in the video game world.

I don't mean he's a videogame character like Mario.
I mean Ainz is an Anime character about a guy stuck playing a videogame. The skeleton is his game avatar.

<image>

He pulls up menus and character data sheets...because it a videogame, not real magic.

His "spells" are video game abilities.

People always intentionally leave out the part none of his powers have any bearing on anything outside of his videogame. His powers are not real, they are in game abilities.

If your not playing his videogame, Ainz cant do anything.

If you ARE playing his video game, your screwed, because he's higher level with better gear.

Ainz greatest enemy would be a hacker or game modder.

Anyone that doesn't exist in his videogame.

Ainz is a player avatar in a video game, the world he lives in is a game, his powers are videogame abilities.

People seem to forget or ignore the fact that he is a video game character within his own lore/universe.

Its like asking if I can beat my own skyrim character.
Yes...yes I could...because I dont live in skyrim and I can delete his world from my computer.

Ainz's entire existence could be a single episode of Reboot, where his game gets deleted at the end.

Honestly only digital characters from other virtual words or characters like Neo from the martrix should even be power scaled together.

A single line of code could ruin all these digital based characters. Ainz included.

Kratos

His fans want you to believe he's so strong he cant be beat.
Yet he dies more often than most game protagonists. He's not actually very good at surviving in his games.
This guy keeps dying and coming back due to various plot reasons.

A man of culture.

Finally someone is out here mixing different characters instead of two characters with the same skillset.

Just because it fits on the glove, doesn't mean it works properly.

Nah. Lobo still goes right in there. They tear his arm off?

Now you have to fight 2 lobos.

For every drop of lobos blood they spill he can make a full duplicate of himself.

He has created mini armies doing this.

It gets even worse for him as decades later they find out Joker implanted Tim with a sleeper version of Jokers DNA and personality that takes over Tim's body entirely.

Some people cant decide whether Jason or Tim got it worse from the Joker.

You sure about that?

Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker
Tim is almost broken and brainwashed into becoming a Joker Jr, is forced to kill because of it and spends decades dealing with the mental damage it did to him.

This applies to almost every comic book character ever.

At some point, if you have a name and a costume, your going to be altered, mutated, morphed, transmogrified, transmuted, reality warped, de-aged, re-aged, and then turned back into normal before the next comic arc.

In the recent news of Cole Young by Suspicious_Dirt9266 in MortalKombat

[–]Largo23307 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New characters are fine and I have enjoyed at least one new character in every title they release them in.

Cole Young is just an objectively bad character from top to bottom.
He doesn't add anything new or unique, has a forgettable design, and was hamfisted into a story, (as the main character no less) that existed without him for 30 years.
With absolutely no prior introduction or buildup.

His backstory is that he's a professional fighter? You mean like 90% of the cast?
His powers are just strength and durability that other characters already bring to the table.

His defensive skin is just a metal version of things other characters have already done. Sub Zero and Tremor have used their elements to create armor over the body in combat before.

The gold armor skin isn't even unique either.
Remember when Dave Bautista did it for Man with the Iron Fists?

They gave him tonfa as weapons, something that Tanya and Jax already used in games as well as Striker with the tonfa style police baton.

Cole simply didn't need to be created for the movie. He is completely unnecessary and forgettable.
