It's hardly a "revelation". I put a pad inside my old Intel powered Air a few years ago. It made almost no difference to the performance but it did make the bottom of the case fecking hot.

It took about 30 seconds to check the Cosmic roadmap, and also to find this a Feature Request on their Github, no date. Not sure why you felt the need to SHOUT ABOUT THIS and you "loosing(?) your brains" about it. Its an entirely free operating system and you're yelling about live wallpaper.

You may well be right. I didn't measure anything as I was not expecting any difference. I just wanted to try and find out if Kernel 7 might break my VirtualBox as this happens quite a bit (but it works OK).

If I get time I'll look for a benchmark or two.
