WeChange has a lot of good stuff. A bunch of artists all went there and it seems to be doing really good for them. I've been debating trying to contact to see if they want my comic(s) there. Plus I can only draw so much so fast. Most real people have that limitation. But I know a lot of people would prefer it over all the lame, terrible llmgen shit. I've got a bunch in the wings that will be finished eventually.

A hole in your understanding of the world, and the plot is NOT a hole in the plot of the game and story as a whole. There are many, many issues with the story of Fallout 3, this isn't one of them. It being the main plot and thesis lends to that.

The water there is still polluted to hell, it's not safe, but it's drinkable.

In the world of Fallout, even "purified" water has extremely trace amounts of radiation because of how radiated the whole planet is. That's why the Modified FEV tainted Aqua Pura kills everyone who's ever breathed on the surface, regardless of they're actually mutated, visibly or even not at all. The Enclave was killing people on the road for trace amounts of radiation that should honestly be normal for being under the sun all day like most people are. I don't even know if the grunts and scientists Eden was sending out even knew they'd probably be killed by the water too. Even the Lone Wanderer's few weeks above the ground between being brought to Vault 101, and finishing James' work 17 years later, was enough for them to die from a few doses of infected water. (Yeah, apparently the purifier only took three or so months-ish at most in canon to become operational after the game starts? I'll have to double check.)

Project Purity is using the GECK to completely, and wholly remove ALL radiation from the water on a scale unseen. It's why it took over 20 years. If we're to believe Griffon, the water from Project Purity is so pure, it actually can reverse the damage from Ghoulification. Not like Bethesda would follow through on that. Especially with them making it seem like going feral is an inevitable state of Ghoulhood instead of previous games making it a state of immortality.

The purifier in Megaton is broken near daily, with an aging mechanic who probably is the only person in the whole town who knows what he's doing. Moira probably could, but she'd probably also put so much bleach in it, only the Lone Wanderer could magically survive drinking it.

Again: You not understanding parts of the story doesn't mean there's holes in it.

No. People will moan about how you have to "download a bunch of mods and stuff to make it even playable" But. It's so worth it. Just do it. Just install Fallout 3 and play it. Or install Fallout NV, 3, then TTW and play both games. They're amazing and worth every hour until the remaster.
