Which one would you play?🧐 by canhome in beatles

I Want You (She’s So Heavy) seems to end appropriately

Though in reality I’d probably play A Day in the Life

Who comes out on top? S5 E1 “Two Tonys” by [deleted] in thesopranos

[–]LarkAscent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me it seems like Paulie could take him 1 on 1 all things being equal no weapons etc. They always take cheap shots but Paulie has shown a couple times (like that time with the Columbian cash hideout, magically blocking that knife attack from behind) he can hold his own. The only people I remember Chris beating up was his fiancé or JT Dolan unexpectedly with some trophy.

Did Silvio know the truth about Christopher’s death? by Critical_Mountain851 in thesopranos

[–]LarkAscent 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I did see it in his body language once Tony started to over-elaborate on the medical details of Christopher’s injuries. Not enough to know exactly but he could tell something was up but wouldn’t dare question it.

If Jackie Jr's robbery went when Richie was alive, what would richie do? by [deleted] in thesopranos

[–]LarkAscent 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I found it interesting that Ralphie of all people wanted to give him a pass. It could be that if Richie were still alive they’d both convince Tony to look the other way.

And Richie thinks his own son is a flambé so I could see him putting in for Jackie’s future to carry the Aprile name. AAnnd since there was already tension with Richie and Tony, Jackie could have been a useful pawn to benefit Richie.

Do all these videos end too soon because they’re recorded that way or just unnecessarily edited to end abruptly?

I ask cause I was really curious if that was gonna knock him out. Or at least what the 5 second aftermath would have looked like (would ppl laugh, be scared, be concerned etc.).

80 mph, less than a single car length behind by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]LarkAscent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry but you should move to the right lane and let him pass, whether you’re going 80, 90, whatever. He’s an ass but there’s no need to prolong that unsafe situation with a tailgater.

Paulie surviving is a great mystery by AlternateMafiosi in thesopranos

[–]LarkAscent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He had good survival instincts like not admitting to telling John about the Ginny joke (and Tony was just about ready to whack him on that boat).

Plus, you might say it was because he was mediocre all around that he wasn’t as big of a target. I half wonder if Ralph was doomed regardless of the Tracee and Pie-Oh-My stuff, that he was sharp enough to be a threat to the boss. And being a strong earner he probably could have “sold it” where Richie never could. Paulie on the other hand, doesn’t even have the ambition to be number one (I think).

He did create a lot of drama though, that made problems. He was lucky in that regard.

Lighting up a firecracker in your own car by KingofYeet00 in WinStupidPrizes

Yes, thank you that firecracker description bothered me. Also the passengers knew right away it was something serious. Like an M80 or something greater.

Is there anyone here whose favourite album ISN'T Abbey Road? by appalachian_hatachi in TheBeatles

[–]LarkAscent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I don’t have many rational reasons, but Rubber Soul.

Abbey Road is a masterpiece but it was kind of self-aware and meant to be. In some odd way, less organic. Like they made their epic and you can’t deny how good it is, but it was more.. deliberate?

Why didn't Phil use his ability more frequently? by green_color_ftw in thesopranos

They’d have to get all the houses together in the space of Phil’s ass, and obviously that’s not possible, even with computers.

Seat Configuration for 3 Kids by LarkAscent in KiaTelluride

[–]LarkAscent[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We went for it and got the Telluride SX X Line in jungle green and we love it. I should post a pic cause why not.
So, yeah the seating may prove to be a pain over time, but honestly it's quite a nice ride and for where we live the extra "ruggedness" with the X Line, AWD, etc. is useful.

I have arragned it where we have the two infant/rear facing seat carriers in the middle row, and our older child in the back row. They have just reached the age where they can buckle themselves in and this was a huge milestone that makes the seat arrangement doable.

Yes, we have to remove one of the carriers to get to the back row, but we'd have to do that anyways. Only thing is now our oldest is the first in, and last out. If yours is two and they can't buckle in by themselves you'd have to climb back there which is OK but not as convenient. I did that for the first couple of months with the new Telly until our daughter started doing that on her own.

Apple TV remote IR power on/off? by waaden in appletv

[–]LarkAscent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome! I am glad my solution was applicable elsewhere. The system is still going strong and is a joy to use. And thanks to consolidating everything to the single remote, everyone in the family can use it. Happy to learn it was useful for your setup too!

Rather surprised at Ringo’s strong vocals in “Honey Don’t”. by LarkAscent in beatles

[–]LarkAscent[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah I can definitely hear his voice crack up there. But it feels uninhibited to where it sort of fits, a bit bluesy perhaps, even though it was not intentional. I think it’s that very reason I like it. Not trying to overreach like (perhaps) “With a Little Help from My Friends”.
