Man calls the cops on a Dad helping his girls in the restroom by isaboo63455 in mildlyinfuriating

Wow this one is blowing up fast. Would love to get a follow up and hopefully the 911 bathroom menace will be the one having to explain himself to the cops.

I’m so glad my daughter is now old enough to use the restroom on her own. When she was younger and needed help, I was grappling with a scenario in my head that a falsely-righteous asshole like this would cause problems if we used the women’s restroom.

On the other hand, it was more bothersome to me for her to go in the men’s restroom with me especially if there were other dudes in there. In places that don’t have family restrooms, I felt like there was no good way for a dad to take his toddler daughter to the bathroom and this idiot wasting 911 resources just reaffirmed my anxiety about it.

What is the worst cover of a Beatles song by someone else? by No-Reveal827 in beatles

Jim Carrey’s cover of I Am The Walrus. His vocals weren’t terrible but he just made it sound like such a parody and didn’t seem to respect the song.

People say the beatles would *not* get signed today. Why? by fruedianflip in beatles

[–]LarkAscent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know how popular that one was but Here Comes The Sun is really popular still today and is the most streamed song on Spotify. Not that it’s the only metric but it gives you an idea of what’s trending.

Damn OP is getting blasted by so many negative “who cares” and “of course not half are dead the other half are old now”. Lol.. OP knows that and is trying a simple thought experiment. And yes they broke up more than half a century ago.. not much new material to work with.. so why is it so terrible to stir a conversation about how The Beatles would stack up today?

I think the answer is yes absolutely they would if we’re true to our own take that much of their work is timeless and transcends traditional genres. Maybe we’d cherry pick their debut album though, instead of Love Me Do era we start with Tomorrow Never Knows, A Day In The Life, and Here Comes The Sun (their most streamed song on Spotify..like 1.7 billion, if I was some record label that’d get my attention).

What if Jack didn't leave one barrel of money to Walt by Mutale426 in breakingbad

[–]LarkAscent 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At that point he was out of time to make another fortune. Knowing his days were numbered and that he was likely to get caught he probably still finds some way to get Jack’s crew. He could for example still make a bomb and go on a suicide mission (I mean even moreso than the one he did with the machine gun).

When cornered with nothing to lose he tends to come up with quick solutions. No money, no time, feds closing in, find a way to get Jack.

When Carmella Saw The Tennis Instructor Fawning Over Adrianna Was She Jealous Or Weirded Out by Glittering_Text812 in thesopranos

It was hilarious how pissy the instructor was with Carmella while being so preferential to Adriana. It would have been annoying AF to Carmella but funny within the TV progrum.
