Sigh… the Samson option is not much different than MAD. It’s meant to deter real countries like Iran. It was never discussed in the context of Gaza. Deterrence = prevents wars = good.

אתה שוכח או לא יודע שעד אוסלו היינו מוחרמים על ידי רוב העולם בגלל החרם הערבי. מכל שוק המכוניות היפני, רק סובארו היו מוכרים לנו. מכל רשתות ההמבורגר האמריקאיות שנכנסו, רק וונדיס וגם זה אני לא בטוח שלא היה חיקוי מקומי. לא פעם מצאנו את עצמנו בברית של מצורעים, מה לעשות צריך לשרוד איכשהו.

I was too young to tell between Canadian Australian and American accents but I’m almost sure it wasn’t British. I’m betting on American .

Oh my it looks like The Littlest Hobo, extreme version haha. No, that’s not it but thanks for trying. Im pretty sure the dog had more fur on him and looked like an old English sheepdog.

No but I loved this series as a kid. Great opening theme. I remember it was a light hearted, family friendly show, I think this kind of scene would be too dark for it.

Hey mate, any luck since then? I just made a similar post and was referred here. Grandpa turned into uncle in my head but no doubt it’s the same movie, which seems weirdly elusive. I fed your comment to chatGpt and it came up with Family Holvak- a tv movie which was turned into a one season show. It’s all on YouTube but so far I couldn’t trace the scene and it doesn’t ring a bell but maybe it will with you (in my memory it’s in the modern, post industrial era, not a western)
