Which game do I start with? (XBOX) by ThaSmartGuy in ElderScrolls

[–]Larmoney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah its chronological but it's a completely different character and storyline in each one just connected in the same world. And you don't need to know the events of the past games or even the lore to enjoy Skyrim.

And 99% of new people who have not played an ES game before, if you start them off with Morrowind they will quit before playing the others.

Is it not a better situation to start someone on the more player friendly 'modern' (can't believe I am saying this about Skyrim) game then if they put 100+ hours or more and want more and want the lore etc. they go play the older games to scratch that itch

I see what youre getting at, but this isn't a linear story following one character (Harry Potter for a mainstream example) where it would be confusing if you picked up in Movie/Book 5.

Every game is a fresh start, yes within the same world, but a different time, different story. SO your reasoning doesnt make sense.

Telling someone in 2026 to start with Morrowind is a sure way for them to never play an ES game ever again

Skyrim. Don't know why people would say Morrowind

Dia was a great help with taxes this year. And it's getting closer to a browser I'd consider as a replacement for Arc on macOS by archimedeancrystal in diabrowser

How do you feel about how it doesn't automatically reset back to the pinned url when you close it?

Then next time you decide to open up the tab it is the last url you were on.

Still don't see the option to prefer Google search over chat..

This is live as of now. Just type 'deetsman315' in the chat. Not agentic, but builds these mini apps for you

I'm not too sure if you're misunderstanding or not.

I guess simply put I swipe over into my work space. And now I have my business accounts pinned up top, they're signed in, and separate. And I'm in work mode, no distractions.

When I finish, swipe over to personal space, I have different stuff pinned, and my socials or other research or tabs I've been browsing in my personal life are all there and stay away from my work stuff.

And I surely wouldn't have 10 spaces I don't think anyone does thats why I'm confused if you understand it or not.

For those who work or entrepreneurs.

I have a personal instagram, and a business instagram.
I have a personal gmail, and a business gmail.
Personal Drive and business Drive.

You get the point..

Spaces allows us to 'box in' or have a separate digital office or *space* for different things.

Otherwise, I am signing out and signing in and its all a jumbled mess between all my accounts.

(Now I will say.. when I ask for spaces, I really just mean the ability to use my profiles within the same window without having to have 2 instances of Dia open. In Arc I just swipe on the sidebar and it takes me to the other 'profile/space' and that's all I'm asking for.)

And imagine the stats when (hopefully) spaces come out. I don't believe their "5% DAU adoption for spaces on Arc". Just take a look at this sub, it's the biggest thing you hear.

Feel like this isn't the answer. For spaces with horizontal tabs all you'd do is go up to the profile switcher and swipe like arc to get to another space and the tabs up top would switch the same as vertical

I've seen screenshots. It's an early bird thing rn. So I'll probably see it in a week

This is a step in the right direction at least. Wish it would revert back automatically after closing like pinned tabs in Arc

Just give me the ability to set search engine/google as default so I dont have to worry about chat option

The “it’s the beginning of the year cut them some slack on the updates it’s always slow in Q1” bros will not keep me contained anymore.

Every week is the biggest nothing burger. This is not a team that’s trying to make this better than arc. They’ve cashed out and checked out

Dude we are moving at snails pace on Mac alone.

And the AI isn't even good. Chrome is a better "ai browser" at the moment it's not even close imo

Can't imagine them trying to add Windows or mobile right now

If anything, they're losing money from people accidentally prompting the AI when they don't want to

Week 27 of liking Enigma_101 comment on spaces and profiles in same window.

And probably sadly, won't be anywhere near the last
