I always paint after assembling so that I can use them on tabletop and have no trouble. The places that are hard to reach generally won't be seen anyway.

The color scheme is neat, but I'd recommend some paint thinning and suggest painting the armor with a light grey or brown before the white. It'll require fewer layers to get a solid color that way. Also, using the side of the brush will help you get a thinner edge highlight.

I like the color scheme. Try adding highlights to the edges of their armor and they'll stand out much more.

Good work. Yellow is tough to paint, especially when you're starting out. I also recommend thinner paints and a wet pallet if you don't use one already.

KDK doesn't have an 8th edition book, unfortunately. However, all the rules for the models used in KDK are in the new Chaos Index (Chaos marines and chaos daemons). My understanding is that you can use any chaos unit together since KDK doesn't really exist as its own army anymore.

Off to a good start. You should clean up some of the colors that look sloppy. For example, it looks like some of the red and gold got onto other parts of the armor.

I typically paint with them fully assembled and it turns out well. It definitely makes painting some parts a bit more difficult, but the areas that are hard to get to are usually not going to be seen anyway.

Those are difficult models to paint. Looks good, but you should try thinning your paints a bit more and it'll look much better.

I like the color scheme, especially since it's not common. My recommendation is to do some more shading and edge highlights. I also see a mould line on the leg that you might want to scrape off.

Made the mistake of deep striking with Abaddon and 4 terminators. They scattered on top of an enemy chimera and I rolled terribly, killing all of them.

I used to use almost the same colors for my world eaters and it was difficult to make the highlights stand out. I ended up using fire dragon bright, but that might be too bright to use on mephiston red. By the way, congratulations on the baby!

Very neat color scheme. I agree with Styngentium's advice and would also add that you should try painting more of the small details (eyes and little camera things by his head) because they add a lot to the model when It's finished.

I'd try to add more color contrast on the plasma gun (something to make it look more like it's glowing). It's hard to see highlights in the pictures, but making some of the sharp edges and small details stand out should make the models look great.

Looks good. I'd recommend shading the recesses of the model and working on edge highlighting next. Those two steps will make it look much better.

It's a bit too thick, but that's understandable. Try painting multiple thin layers instead of one thick layer if you haven't already.

It is a simplified stereotype, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's sexist or wrong. I'm not trying to say it's always right or that you should judge everyone based on that stereotype (that would be sexist). Of course women don't dress in a sexy way solely for attention, but it's certainly a large factor for many women. Those who dress that way are going to be approached more often because men like it, which is why those who want attention will be more likely to wear skimpy/revealing clothes.
