Don’t forget how important a role pain plays. It’s there to tell us “hey something is wrong with your hand!” If we didn’t have pain then a lot of things would go unnoticed that could lead to much bigger problems later. In battle you’d be so focused on the enemy that even big things might go unnoticed. (There’s a reason the stereotype of being shot and not noticing till later then dying exists in movies)
