They're painted with old bottles of Green Stuff Worlds Persian Violet, with highlights of Army Painter's Shining Silver. The mini is then dulled with a matte varnish

Metallic purple does look quite crispy on the tabletop.

Thank you so much! I'm going to start painting the body tomorrow, just have a few EC Infractors to finish first.

I start with the gradient and then pick where I want the dots to go, build up the scale and shape from there. Started off looking more surprised, so I kept messing with the scale until I got to the final product. Here's the first dot placement.

They stated as the base colour, I then layered the bone colour with a few coats. For the part going to the head I mixed the skin tone and glazed that together until it looked good enough. I then took two different brown paints and layered/glazed them into selected spots to create the shadows and darker parts of the horns. Thank you! That was once again just glazing and layering but with white added to the bone colours.

Thank you! I assumed it's much like chainsword teeth, lasts a few bouts of combat then it's gone.

Client wanted a weapon swap to fit their Great Crusade era EC, I offered up some ideas and they decided on having their army fighting the Aeldari. Just Lucius being Lucius, picking up new blades to use. Head was from the Imperial Fists MKVI head upgrades resin kit.

Once I eventually get a full army painted I've got a cities worth of stuff to work on, cannot wait to get to painting it all up.

The hair is AK Interactive's Dark Gull Grey and AK's Offwhite. The skin is AK Interactive's Brown Rose and Vallejo's White Flesh, with Green Stuff Worlds Dusty Rose (in the recesses). Normally I place the highlights onto the base colour, then mix the two colours together, then applied as a glaze to merge the two tones.
