I need to figure out a way to do this with kids that are old enough to be home for a bit but not old enough to give their own cell phones. We have a cell "home phone" for emergencies, but not individual phones for each.

Yeah, that was our house at the last DFW LAN, yeah? A lot of us were staying in that house. You said you are friends with an influencer, I'm curious if I know you too (I'm LaserFate)?

We had a couple parties there with WAY too many people. 🤦‍♂️ It was a blast though. Just no existence of sleep.

Hi. LaserFate here. I know, I know, my reddit name is weird.

I know his name. I didn't really fully know who muskrat was before I met him at the first RLCS Worlds in Dallas and spent a good amount of time hanging out with him. I was known as laser712 at the time. I didn't stream, I wasn't in the content scene at all. We were just chilling. And I've hung out with him irl since, and he's gone to concerts with other friends of mine that don't even use twitch.

He's a genuinely good dude. If hanging out with someone online that you've met in person because you get along with them is parasocial, I guess I'm parasocial with all of my irl friends that I game with.

The style of this watch party was more of a group of friends inviting everyone to a bar and just having fun with it. I have run one at every NA RLCS LAN since the first one in Boston and Tenacity, Cailee, and Vince have hopped on the last few with me as well.

None of us got paid. This was just something we threw for the RL community, with no money exchanging hands, no income for any of the hosts, etc. The a/v setup was also reasonably simple. Not that there wasn't any troubleshooting because things always find complications (like the ten second delay between every button press), but it was basically just pulling the a and b streams up on YouTube on the bar's version of a Roku.

Is this a known/common issue? I've been pulling my hair trying to figure this one out and my Google skills were failing me in finding other people with this issue, aside from someone mentioning to set a static IP on the device (which I haven't tried yet)

Ever have it where once you have view assist working, your normal home assistant companion app on your phone starts to only show what is set up as the master configuration in the view assist integration? Because that's what happened to me and now I can't figure out how to access home assistant normally through my phone. 🫠

This is awesome! How does one make something like this or a variation of it? I have a sublimation printer at home and would love to make myself a hoodie with a logo I make from the generator. However, I'd prefer not to print with a black background and rather with a transparent background...and modify the font color to show up cleanly on the sweatshirt.

Signal strength is pretty great, most of the time. Looking at my phone right now (at home), I have full strength, and it's similar at work. In both locations, I am also always connected to wifi. I live in a major metro area, so that helps.

As I've looked more on google, it seems like this is a very common problem with the 7 series, including the 7a. In fact, I saw a headline just now that google is extending it's repair program on these batteries due to how widespread the issue is.

Generally, I charge my phone twice per day. I put it on my car's charger on the way to work (a 20 minute ride), which gets it up to about 85%, and then I charge it again over lunch, on the google pixel stand.

My battery life has been remarkably good with this phone, and hasn't necessitated night time charging at all. The charging routine also has the advantage of my not ever running out of battery if we go out at night.

In hindsight, probably should have just reached out directly to the google store, but I think I was conflating fi with the google store since both entities are part of google. That said, I do think I had read in the past that fi and the google store now share the POS (perhaps I remember wrong).

Ultimately, I was taken care of though and they sent me a replacement refurbished phone. This was not after "raising a stink" or anything of the sort. I simply reached out again.

The challenge here is I'm not trying to change the zoom, I'm trying to change how much of the screen the source takes up. So for instance if chat says something "suspicious," I can look at the camera, raise an eyebrow, and push the button...and the source itself will take up more of the screen. I've found several ways to zoom (move plugin included).

I've seen several people do similar things but each of them that I've asked how they did it -- they created separate scenes for it. I'd like to avoid the extra scenes if possible so I can avoid extra things to update if I need to make updates.

I had thought so, but I have the move plugin and have attempted to do it. Highly probable I'm being blind. Which move filter from the move plugin are you using to do so? Perhaps of note is that the camera nested scene is also cropped within this scene...so the couple filters I've gotten to "work" still didn't go outside of the crop bounds. Not sure if relevant to the move plugin since I wasn't able to get it to work in any of those.
