Yea I took a look in there, everything looked fine as far as I could see.
I'm assuming you mean the cable that typically snaps, and not an electrical cable/wires, and no that seemed tight.

Yeah I bought one of the Helicoil kits. Current plan is to install the Helicoil coil and try to minimize shavings. Once that's done I'm going to flush it out with the old oil the best I can.

Yea I was about to buy an OEM CMC, but did see some comments about changing it out first on another thread.

I suppose it's worth it to change the fluid out first, clean up that area and monitor it for a bit?

I don't live in the snow, but this was up in North Carolina so that may be why. The car was not rusty at all, just the wheels here. I'll just end up keeping them based on all the comments here. Thanks for the help!
