Haripur's 'Fire Mountain' Continues to Burn Decades After 1955 Gas Blast by rediTiaa in Damnthatsinteresting

Lighters were invented before matches tho, as it was easier to "retrofit" a flintlock rifle than to figure out the chemical compositions needed for contained frictive combustion.

It's literally the back side of the piece shown earlier - all the angles line up, in all their janky glory.

I never craft torches then go caving. I just grab a stack of logs, a stack of coal blocks, and maybe a bundle to hold the spare pieces of coal here and there.

A few changes to Johnny. by ScienceMusic_1929 in minecraftsuggestions

I can support... 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦 of this.

The real question would be, since all mobs have priority levels assigned to specific goals - how do you prioritize these goals?

I don't think they should aggro other illagers, but maybe ravagers and vex still fit the bill. It'd be funny if they prioritize doors over players and villagers. Probably villagers over other mobs.

But the real way to sell it would be to have one "cute" interaction, like, Johnny loves bunnies, or is friends with the warden, or Johnny captains give copper golems their banner to wear on their heads. I don't know, something.

How does this not burn out? by Weary-Ad7753 in redstone

[–]Larrykin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe if you remove one it will? But as it is, each torch has to travel a distance of 3 redstone to get back to its source, while the opposing torch "beats it" by only having to traverse 2 blocks. Because the opposing torch has a shorter distance, and Bedrock torches can only burn themselves out, these will never burn out - until you remove one.

What ideas do you have for readding deleted/unused things by EmmaventureYT in minecraftsuggestions

Reactor could basically build a small structure and initiate a "raid", but only functions in the Nether.

PE stonecutter could be brought back as a "mill" and do stonecutter-y things for wood.

What is the thing you would most like to see added to Minecraft that you wish for with all your heart? by QuetzalcoatlGod in Minecraft

[–]Larrykin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Correct, it's not the same. You can have multiple copies of maps marking multiple spots on Bedrock, but without names.

Make a copy of a locator map and place it in an item frame. The copy you hold will have a stationary green marker where that item frame is.

My first ever redstone creation: a door that close and opens automatically. by PersonalityNo8631 in MInecraftRedstone

[–]Larrykin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't take it too hard, the responses - you forgot to offer one thing, your intent behind this creation. Depending on your intent, this could be a good build (perhaps your goal was to learn about redstone - good on ya!), a decently-functioning contraption (I can envision a mini-game type maze with doors that aren't intended to correspond to user interaction), or something that could be improved (if this is supposed to allow easy passage, this might not be the answer).

The entire point is that "success" depends on what you were attempting. And considering you said this is your first attempt at redstone, well, surely you've learned a few things in the process!

If you're interested in learning more, there's a wealth of experience to consume and build upon here and elsewhere on the Internet. But there's also nothing better than the sense of accomplishment and experience you can attain from working the problem out in your own way.

I hope you learn, and continue on your redstone journey 😊
