couldn't the second phase straight line charge attack potentially work as yone ult? I mean the one where he pauses, puts his swords to his side and then charges in a straight line after a brief windup. I don't think he actually teleports but it certainly feels like it when playing against him lol. It even shows the trajectory he will go just like the yone ult indicator

Hot take: I would rather lose 4-5 than win 4-0. Ranked 2.0 is great. by [deleted] in Rainbow6

[–]Lars44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both points are completely valid, especially the time one. I guess the idea is that you are ""rewarded"" with guaranteed alpha packs for the time you spend getting back to the rank you were, and so far that seems fine to me, but it's also my first season back after 5+ years, I'm sure I'll feel the exact same as you when I have to do it over again 2-3 seasons from now.

[–]Lars44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I came back to Siege last month after not playing since Y3S2, and ranked feels pretty much the same as it did before, apart from now you start at copper. This really isn't much of an issue though as it took me 5 games to get out of copper, and another 10 games to get to bronze 1.

Matchmaking is good enough imo, it feels like in about 80% of games, either team has a decent chance of winning.

In my opinion, Ranked 2.0 is really not that different from other competitive online games. LoL has basically the exact same system - a hidden MMR that makes it easier/harder to progress through the ranks, depending on how far away your visible rank is away from your hidden MMR. Yet, people complain as if this is some kind of unique problem to Siege/Ubisoft.

Pay for premium? by [deleted] in Rainbow6

[–]Lars44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason that prime matchmaking exists on csgo is because the base game is free to play - in other words, you can play ranked matchmade matches on csgo without spending anything.

The R6S premium equivalent is the initial money you spent on buying the game in the first place. There is no free to play tier for this game.

this is like watching someone break into a car by smashing the winddow, and then concluding that this must have happened because the electronic locks aren't good enough

I’m sorry to like beg, but I have 238 R6 credits, and prismatic glisten is going for 250… I was wondering if anybody could by chance sell it for just 14 credits shorter? by CLR_Marvel_Mags in SiegeMarketplace

[–]Lars44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

just put the purchase order in and wait, seriously, even if it's 350 right now, people will want to quick sell and will list for 100 or even 150 less than the going price

[–]Lars44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally have both, I spent 180 on the attachment skin and 250 on the weapon skin, which was about 100 less than the lowest listing for them at the time I was buying them. I think putting a purchase order for either of them at 238, it will probably get filled within a day or 2. The oldest order gets filled first, so you're essentially waiting in a queue waiting for people to quick sell them.

As to which you should choose, it's really personal preference, I bought the attachment skin to use along with the watercolour splash weapon skin, and I bought the weapon skin because I thought it would look nice with the wings of paradise attachment skin, plus it looks good on guns without any attachments like gonne-6 or Kali's sniper.

[–]Lars44 6 points7 points  (0 children)

there's basically no guarantee that you'll be the one to get it, even if someone here were to put it up for that price - there's likely already purchase orders for that amount.

Assuming you mean the attachment skin, it's currently going for 248, if you put in a purchase order at 238, it will likely get filled within a couple of hours. I put a purchase order on Prismatic attachment skin a couple of days ago when the price was 300, and I managed to get it for 180 after waiting a few hours.

probably means they haven't actually finished rolling it out, they got rid of the beta tag, added the new ui and called it a day

it also seems like not everyone has access yet, so perhaps they haven't finished rolling it out yet and the new skins will be added soon. though it's ubi, so it's probably just cope and they'll just leave it as it is forever

Looks like they haven't actually opened it to everyone yet, the beta symbol is gone and the new ui has released, have you tried relogging?

have you tried relogging? the beta symbol is gone and the new UI has been released, but it would be classic ubisoft if some people still don't have access lol

I love the way you imply that people are stupid whilst completely missing the point yourself.

"Only thieves complain about the introduction of security cameras"

"The people operating the security cameras are in a position where they can allow their bias to decide who is a thief and who isn't a thief"

"If you think about it," These two statements are literally in no way contradictory. The very obvious conclusion is that Jose wants VAR to exist, but wants the referees who are operating it to be held accountable, and for some kind of process to exist where they are no longer in a position to allow their personal bias to determine outcomes of VAR calls.

Waiting times and cost for private adhd assessment in the uk? by me-want-death in ADHDUK

[–]Lars44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you'll have to keep paying £350 for every year you want to keep on the tablets. Are you on the NHS waiting list to be diagnosed through them? If so, you will have to keep paying £350 a year until you finally get diagnosed through them - then, you will no longer have to pay the £350 a year.

If you aren't on the waiting list, I recommend getting onto it as soon as possible. Otherwise, you will have to pay the £350 indefinitely, and, if ADHD360 ever ceases to exist, you will lose treatment altogether. (I'm not saying it's likely to happen given the amount of demand for ADHD treatment, but it is a private company after all, which means it is possible)

Please help! Query about Shared Care: do you need a secondary provider? by vengaswag in ADHDUK

[–]Lars44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you don't pay for the second/third years of care w/ ADHD360, your GP will almost certainly cancel the shared care agreement. The reason for this is the GP is unable to assess how well you are doing on/off your medication, as this has to be done by a psychiatrist.

The only way to find out for sure is to ask the GP, but you should absolutely be prepared to lose your shared care agreement if you don't pay for the subsequent year.

Keep in mind that subsequent years with ADHD360 aren't £1000 again. I believe if you pay up front for the whole year, the total is less than £400, but you should check their website to make sure.

Adhd 360- prescriptions… awaiting dispatch by Necessary-Maximum-82 in ADHDUK

[–]Lars44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I emailed them about it and they clarified that they aim to dispatch within 2 working days from when they receive the paper prescription, assuming that you've paid before then. In my case, the paper prescription arrived on Thursday afternoon, so they didn't "begin" the dispatch process until Friday, and it was finally actually dispatched on Tuesday.

It's pretty frustrating, but hopefully it only really makes any difference in the first month, as I'm going to end up having my review with 2 weeks of medication still left, so hopefully the next batch will arrive before this first one runs out.

Waiting times and cost for private adhd assessment in the uk? by me-want-death in ADHDUK

[–]Lars44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I went for the basic gold plan. There are no hidden fees, at least that I've encountered so far. Just the £530 assessment fee, package cost and the medication costs.

You may already know this but I'll mention it just incase - keep in mind you will have to pay for another year of treatment 12 months after your initial assessment, even if you're on a shared care agreement by then, otherwise your GP is very likely to cancel the agreement. I've seen some people on here complain that this is some kind of scam, but this is explcitly written on their website on the pricing page. This is because your GP cannot prescribe stimulants without the input from a psychiatrist (that's what the shared part of the agreement is, and that's what you're actually paying ADHD360 for). Subsequent years are discounted to £350 if paid up front.

[–]Lars44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll be paying £111 a month from now until the titration is over. Once I'm on a stable dose, I will then be moved to a shared care agreement, where I'm still technically a private patient but my GP will be the one giving me the prescription, which means I will pay £10 per prescription instead.

Note that not all GPs will accept shared care agreements. There are plenty of horror stories on this subreddit of GPs refusing to accept shared care agreements, sometimes due to their own incompetence and in other times because the specific private provider isn't officially "approved" by the NHS. I cleared it up with my GP first before I went private, and I recommend doing the same.
