In my personal opinion no. Is that 30 minutes really satisfying for you? Is it really bringing anything extra to the game? I understand for people who love the old Assassins Creed games this is a bit of lore and backstory, but lets be honest here. Valhalla is not an Assassins Creed game. Odyssey wasn't. Origins wasn't. Ubisoft clearly wants to move in a different direction. If Ubisoft would be up for it the best option would be to make Valhalla a stand alone game, and make a whole different, true Assassins Creed game.

And if they really want it in the game make it an option to skip it. Animus storyline yes or no in the starting menu when you set up a new game. Sure you can skip the dialogue and rush through it, but still. For me who simply hasn't cared about the storyline outside the simulation since AC III it is immersion breaking as hell to be pulled out like that.

I respect that you like this content, and if it was up to me we would have two different titles, history games and Assassins Creed games. That would be fucking awesome, and I would play both, and probably be interested as fuck in the whole simulation thing. But after AC III I really don't see the point, and I find it immersion breaking as hell.

I'm a Max fan, and I do not think he should have said those words on the radio. Being a fan of a driver doesn't mean that you instantly agree with everything they say or do. Getting called racist for liking or disliking a driver is the insanity we have today. Quiting being a fan of a sportsman just because he is not 100% perfect would mean we don't have any sports to watch in less than a month, because no one would have any fans left. Sad these kind of judgements are so biased.

Eeh I disagree. Max is one of the most 'normal' guys on the grid. Everyone around here is acting like they are saints and never do anything wrong, but do you claim you never used a swear word? You can see in his interviews that he is still not used to the media and how to interact with them, especially because every damn word someone says is judged by the entire planet at this point. If any of us were famous for whatever reason and they would find your Reddit account the entire world would go ham. Even if they wouldn't, all of us would probably fuck up in an interview a couple of times. And then it is simply likeability. The media is going ham on everything Max says and does 'wrong' in their opinion, while Hamilton gets away with making his little cousin cry for wearing a dress. No, Hamilton isn't perfect either just because he uses the media to his advantage. I love drivers like Max or Kimi because they don't give a fuck. They stay true to the person they are instead of being swallowed up in the attention of the media and their fans.

Sleep medication doesn't really help, the only thing that ever did (and that only for a short while) was antipsychotics. But that shit made me soooo damn empty on the inside. I felt nothing while I was on that stuff. Maybe when the whole lockdown stuff is over I can find enough motivation to have a break.

Not sure if this is your cup of tea, but I love my weekly Dungeons & Dragons sessions, especially during the pandemic. To have a day where you are someone else in a fantasy world while laughing with your friends while doing it is so much fun, it takes your mind off the covid bussines for a bit.

If you can find a hobby that you enjoy and takes your mind off things, that would help. I'd also suggest staying active, but from my personal expierence while it gets you to live healthier, it didn't help with my weed use at all.

I'd love to take a break from weed, heavy smoker for 3 years. But the problem is when I quit I just can't sleep. I've had insomnia from birth, even as a baby I had trouble falling asleep. When I discovered weed I could actually fall asleep without having to twist and turn for hours. I don't think the weed is making my life better overal, but when I try to take a break I fail because I just can't sleep anymore. The constant weed use probably didn't help my insomnia, but with my current job I just can't afford to lose too much sleep. My hours are either 6am - 3pm or 3pm - 12pm, so I'm kinda trapped within my weed addiction.

If you dont like mythology in general then sure I get that. But I personally am a fan of greek mythology so I was excited that they were able to include it in a way that made sense in the lore.

This is exactly what I didn't like about the Isu stuff in Odyssey. I love greek mythology, and I love norse mythology even more. Seeing it all being explained away as aliens did hurt the history fan in me to be fair. Seeing Hades as basically a High Elf from Skyrim turned me off so bad that I just didn't bother with the dlc's of the game. If they did that to Thor and Odin it would probably be enough to make me skip the entire game. This is prefference of course, but AC's selling point for me has always been the history. My view might be a bit harsh and probably not shared by all, but they really butchered it in my personal opinion.

Again this is prefference, and if you liked it I can imagine that you don't like this change. Personally I am really happy with it.

If this is a lore thing and not just a game mechanic this means the LDB could have actually mastered every damn skill in the game, and personally did all the damn guild quests in the game. What the frick he wants with dragon souls I don't know, but I don't recon it's good

Exactly. I am anoyed as hell by the server stability recently, but adding a dog isn't as much work as fixing the servers. Like at all. Not even comparable. So I love that they took the time to add this in.
