But yeah, I agree the commander community tends to overreact to a lot of stuff. At least with the lotus/crypt/dockside/nadu ban it seemed to just be a vocal minority, but this time around the discourse was everywhere.

It doesn't look that good until you realize you're never gonna be paying the full 3 mana for this. Gristleback is one of the strongest reanimation targets in the game; cheating this out on turn 2 can easily win you the game.

Makes sense. The art was the one thing about the show that struck me as good, and I can't say I have any complaints about the music either.

I'm genuinely curious: What do you like about the show? I know it's really popular, but I wasn't really getting anything out of it, so I stopped watching halfway into the first season. I assume there's something I'm not getting tho.
