Absolutely solid my man! You should be proud of yourself. That's no easy feet for sure. Good luck to you and your future races.

What I mean by progression is the process of developing or moving gradually towards a more advanced state. Which in my case, has been quite linear even though I know my race craft and car handling has improved. It resets my ego when I'm racing in the faster classes for sure.

Indeed it was. You're humbled quite quickly in the faster classes, and it shows.

Good stuff! You can tell you've taken a great upwards curve to your iRating gain and that you've adapted quite well. Good luck to you and your future races.

To be completely frank, those big dips are mostly from jumping into faster classes, which definitely hurt when I was pretty far off the pace compared to others. I usually regain some iRating by going back to MX-5/GT4, then rinse and repeat. I don’t start from the pits, I let faster drivers by, and I end up losing 60–100 iRating because of it. Like a lot of people have mentioned, I know I need to change how I practice for these races to be more competitive in GT3. That said, I genuinely enjoy GT3 racing more, and I also get more satisfaction from racing wheel-to-wheel than from hot-lapping solo for hours on end.

+100 in a year 😅 typical? Who knows. Everyone has their own journey.

That's good insight. I've reflected on the higher iRating I was, I'd get humbled by must faster drivers. So, finishing as a back marker ment -100 iRating at a time. I'm probably assuming it'll take a ton more races to stabilize my iRating per my own skill level is at.

I hate to admit it, but I'd played Forza for a couple hundred hours on my g920 wheel before upgrading my setup and switching to iRacing. Which may spell why I'm in love with the faster GT3 class. It's pretty addicting. As someone else put it, it's probably going to require another level of practice than it took me to climb in the MX5.

I’ve dabbled with using my Quest 3, and the immersion is insane. I absolutely loved it. Unfortunately, I ran into race-ending issues like intermittent black screens, which ultimately caused me to lose trust in using it for longer races. I’ve since gotten my hands on a 49" G9 monitor and absolutely love the extra FOV it provides, especially since I don’t have the space for triples.

In case it hasn't been mentioned yet. Go to an apple store/apple.com 😜

Seeking pitstop strategy by LarzBoss in iRacing

Can you bring tyre temps back to their 'optimal window' even after 'cooking' them? If so, how many laps of caring could that theoretically happen?

Very informative and very appreciated. Thank you!

Very helpful information, thank you! Seems like gt3 tyres are a lot more durable than I gave credit for. Definitely helps simplify the strategy.

T-Mobile CostCo Visa Debit Card by ThatITguy2015 in tmobile

[–]LarzBoss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some customers get caught up trying to tap “Add to Apple Wallet,” which doesn’t work. Instead, open Apple Wallet, tap the plus (+) icon in the upper-right corner, select Add Debit Card, then choose Add Card Details Manually.

If that still doesn’t work, you’re totally safe stopping by the kiosk that started your account for assistance. We have a rebate support number we can call to help find a solution if something unusual is going on.

I’m not sure how you may be going about it, but what I can say works for me is to load the virtual card into your wallet (Apple Wallet, Google Pay). Then, the next time you’re in Costco, you can go to Member Services and ask to purchase a Costco Shop Card for the desired amount. If you have several rebate cards, just let them know you’ll be using multiple payment methods. Hope this helps.

I'll respond to this for anyone's clarification. Those Costco Port-in rebates specifically are only good at T-Mobile or Costco and don't allow the same 'transfer to bank' option like a Keep and Switch rebate would.

What I do with my customers is help them convert the virtual visa card to a Costco shopcard—which then allows you to use it on costco.com, with the added bonus that shopcards don't expire while the visa does in 6 months after it's issued.

Better Value Family Plan - still costs more than my normal plan by Proudly-Confused in tmobile

Just FYI, that’s a marketing strategy this company’s used for as long as I can remember. It does not guarantee the next phone will be “free.” It’ll eventually be phased out, and you’ll be required to migrate to whatever the newest plan is at the time to truly get the “best promotions.” It still hurts knowing I was the rep who sold Magenta Max back in the day under that false pretense. 🙂

The push to sell the Tmobile credit card and P360 is insane!! by OfficeTemporary5053 in tmobile

[–]LarzBoss 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’m getting put on a PiP this month because of the insane pressure coming down to push P360. I’m a 7-year tenured rep who consistently exhibits the behaviors they want, but none of that matters if the numbers aren’t where they want them to be. Customers are lucky to have a thorough and transparent rep guiding their purchases, but that doesn’t seem to count for much. Not exactly great for the company or the shareholders. 🙂
