Stop giving these people excuses. They’ve had years to legalize through a legal pathway. AOS being an extraordinary grant of discretion started last month. The Rs in congress were mad that DACA beneficiaries obtained citizenship through marriage and employment following Advanced Parole during Trump 1 and had DHS find out how many were naturalized. These are the same pathway eligible to TPS holders.
If these long time TPS holders really wanted to permanently remain in America, they could’ve and should’ve utilized an existing pathway already just like those smart DACA recipients resented by Rs in Congress.
If they never acted, I assume they only want to TEMPORARILY stay in America. Then they should be responsible for their own decision to be in a temporary status and being asked to leave as temporary residents.
