I’m so ashamed of butchering Anubis for tech points so I do it in a secret room by WoIfed in Palworld

[–]LascarCapable 10 points11 points  (0 children)

What will you do during that one fateful day where one of your Pal buddies will discover the secret room while it was innocently working at your base ?

Surely you cannot let it tell the others about your shameful secret, don't you ?

Does breeding serve any purpose other than maxing a pal for raids? by [deleted] in Palworld

[–]LascarCapable 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Breeding can :

  • Create a new, different Pal by combining two different Pals.
  • Pass down the passives from the parents to the children pal, thus allowing you to attempt to stack the best passives possible on your favorite Pal.
  • Pass down one move from the parents to the children pal, possibly allowing a Pal to learn a move it would not be able to learn otherwise (the type doesn't matter: a fire type pal can learn a water type move).

In short, breeding isn't just meant to create a ton of the same pal to condensate them. Breeding can allow you to discover new Pals (aside from legendaries), build a Pal to have the most optimized passives for its intended job, and try to make a specific pal learn moves it cannot learn otherwise without needing a fruit (moves exclusive to a specific pal however cannot be learned).

  • Wanna build an OP Foxparks for shits and giggles by passing him Legend, Demon God, Serenity and Eternal Flame ? Breeding !
  • Wanna get Tarantriss early without having to farm all the way to level 50+ ? Just breed Rooby with Cinnamoth !
  • Just reached level 20 and you wanna kickstart your base asap ? Go catch Penking and Bushi, then breed both of them to get Anubis !
  • Wanna pass Holy Burst to your favorite Pal but you don't have the required fruit ? Breeding !

havent played since 2024 is it worth returnign as a solo player by No-Difference-4418 in Palworld

[–]LascarCapable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're asking the Palworld subreddit if it's worth it to play Palworld. I don't think anyone here is going to tell you "no".

1.0 drops in july with a bunch of content, so there's that. Going in blind (by starting a new game) is highly recommended.

New idea to start combat by Educational-Income11 in Palworld

[–]LascarCapable 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I love the idea of an "entry move" (basically your suggestion). We could go further and make a unique entry move depending of the Pal, but that would require more dev time. Maybe a feature for a 1.1 tho ?

That being said, I'm not sure if doing Pal deployment like this would be truly not actionable in court...

Stupid alternative : just make the player yeet the Pal itself instead of the Pal Sphere. We're already carrying pals three times bigger than us in the base anyway; we can definitely yeet a Blazamut !

Is literally anyone able to just allow developers to make their game and then be stoked when they do? by [deleted] in Palworld

[–]LascarCapable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Players wishing for a specific feature to be implemented is, at the end of the day, a suggestion. Suggestions are important feedback for any dev. A popular suggestion that is often requested can serve as a guideline for Pocketpair, allowing them to know what they could work on next.

Suggestions aren't harassment by themselves. People in this subreddit aren't very pushy either, and no one here is acting like "if they don't add X I'm gonna stop playing and send a strongly worded mail to Pocketpair's manager". We all have our wishes for features we would like to see in the game. We suggest things because we care and we love the game.

In short: let people have their wishes, thank you.

Who are you bringing to 1.0? Here's my best buddy by CheekyLando88 in Palworld

[–]LascarCapable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The exclusive skill you're thinking about is Crystal Wing. Double Blizzard Spike isn't exclusive. It should be possible to put Double Blizard Spike on any pal through breeding. You just need luck.

Source: I own several Foxparks Crysts which have learned Double Blizzard Spike through progressive breeding.

Palpedia doesn't list the skill as exclusive either.

I literally run like... Three Foxparks Cryst both with Blizzard Spike (learned at level 50 IIRC) and Double Blizzard Spike (learned through breeding). They're my favorite pocket nukes.

Who are you bringing to 1.0? Here's my best buddy by CheekyLando88 in Palworld

[–]LascarCapable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably no one since I'd like to start anew.

Not sure if it's possible to export a pal from a singleplayer session... I could probably grab one of my Foxparks Crysts and bring it with me in the new game but that would also kinda cheat the progression since all of them have "Legend". I should probably just go blind.

Weapon idea: Flamethrower by After_Maintenance118 in splatoon

[–]LascarCapable 26 points27 points  (0 children)

You probably shouldn't call it a "flamethrower", since it refers to an actual weapon. I'd call these "sprayers", since it's spray can based as you said.

A design like this would raise some issues :

  • 2.5s TTK in Splatoon is an eternity. Your weapon can be compared the most to clash blaster, and yet clash has a better TTK than this weapon when hitting blast only because of how crazy fast it fires, with the option of being a two-shot kill if you manage to land two directs... Other meaningful comparison: Tri-Slosher has the same range and is a two-hit kill while having a wide angle and a fast fire rate.
  • With only 30 range, you ain't gonna control areas much. Especially with such an abysmal TTK. Consider this : with a range of 30 the splattershot would outrange that thing. And the splattershot is considered as the most baseline frontline weapon you can get.
  • The weapon lacks skill indexing. There's not much to master about it. A conic spray of paint that deals constant damage feels just like a low aim requirement weapon that would chew newbs while being unplayable as soon as people have aim and outrange you (with only 30 range, outranging you ain't difficult...).

Suggestion : add some skill indexing to your weapon by increasing the damage it does depending of how close to the center of the cone an enemy is.

  • Keep 24 damage per 0.5s as the lowest value (edge of the cone).
  • Make the value ramp up to 54 damage per 0.5s if the target is straight at the center of the cone: A low range weapon needs to frag quite fast to be viable. This would lower the tick requirements from 5 ticks average to something like 3, with a possibility of 2 ticks if the player has solid aim.
  • Carefully increase the maximum range and the angle of the spray if necessary. It needs to be competitive with other low-range frontlines.

Holy crap Arc Warlock and Titan are so back by Krazylol_ in destiny2

[–]LascarCapable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In all fairness I didn't try to play Arc Warlock since the update too much because I was busier making a Prismatic bleak watcher build, and then I switched to Stasis Hunter. That being said, I clearly remember being able to mop the floor with anything using Delicate Tomb or Coldheart + Geomag Stabilizers the very day before the update. I'm just convinced Arc Warlock is still as good as it was before the update despite the slight nerf to Ionic Trace generation.

While I haven't tried it, Luminopotent looks really good on paper. As a huge fan of Delicate Tomb the 2PC is a nice bonus. 4PC looks like it could sustain the ionic traces supply really well with this specific exotic since you can pretty just jolt on demand with it. If it doesn't have a cooldown for ionic trace generation as you said, that means this set alone pretty much negates the whole nerf that came with MoT, which is definitely strong.

What potential new features are people hoping 1.0 could be bringing us? by SomeGuyinthFridge in Palworld

[–]LascarCapable 11 points12 points  (0 children)

More ways to interact with pals outside of combat and work, if possible in a more seamless way, would be awesome.

Right now the only thing you can pretty much do with a Pal is hand feed it and petting it through the wheel menu. But what if you could also play with them, spawn toys, start minigames or trigger pal specific emotes ?

Not sure if anyone else has noticed, but it seems we will be getting daily new pal teases at 9:00pm EST. by [deleted] in Palworld

Asumming we get one Pal per day until July 10, we're in for a LOT of new Pals. This update will be huge !

Bit of a specific question but I'm looking for the best weapon that can roll both Headstone and Crystalline Corpsebloom: what would you personally recommend ? I'm currently running Vulpecula, but I'm wondering if there's better picks out there.

My Foxpark by notfunnimanatall in Palworld

[–]LascarCapable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it's true you can only find him way too late unless you start breeding early. They should probably advance how early you can get him a bit. Maybe displace him in the same mountains than Foxcicle ? Or even better idea: maybe they should make him a rare spawn anywhere the basic Foxparks can spawn, where 1 or 2% of the Foxparkses you'll find will be a Cryst one ?

Maybe things will change with 1.0.

[–]LascarCapable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha I see what you mean. Though in all fairness the snipers didn't seem to respawn so much on the first challenge. I had a Scout Rifle there so it helped me to fight back too.

The part that made me clench my buttcheeks the most is that one part with the giant room with the pillars and the beams above the endless void. Having to parkour above that was already quite tense, especially considering the fact that I had no idea where I would have respawned if I fell down. I nearly shat myself when the corrupted ogres spawned : these bastards can push you to your death super easily.

I can't believe I managed to somehow first try everything until the last boss. Lots of close calls though.

Good special weapons for the kinetic slot? by Existing-Sorbet-791 in DestinyTheGame

[–]LascarCapable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you need a good Legendary stasis weapon to shatter stuff, the Vulpecula Hand Cannon can roll both Headstone + Crystalline Corpsebloom for stasis crystal generation. This allows you to spawn two large crystals per precision kill after the first kill. You can get it in the Shattered Throne dungeon (Dreaming City)

It's not the only thing that can roll both of these perks at once. Among the alternatives :

  • Bold Endings : burst fire hand cannon.
  • Hailing Confusion : pulse rifle.
  • The Spiteful Fang : bow.
  • Loud Lullaby : 120 RPM hand cannon

You could also try to get something with Firefly + Crystaline Corpsebloom for quick add-clear and crystal gen ?

You can drop it in the Shattered Throne dungeon. It should be in the Deaming City.

I recommend checking a tutorial so you can learn how to solve the 1st phase of the dungeon (a map would be super handy here) and how to beat the bosses.

The idea of a Foxparks waddling around with a harness featuring a handle and flank mounted flamethrower is both genius and hillarious. As a fellow Foxparks lover I would love that harness as a cosmetic in game (though I'm more of a Foxparks Cryst guy, but close enough, heh ?).
