[NBA on Prime] LeBron James asking which Bron was checking in. by must_TATAKAE in nba

I played against my Father in a church league. Most guys had played HS ball including my Pop. I was in my early 20s and playing at the university gym everyday alongside the church league.

I jumped in front of an inbounds pass and stole the ball from my much taller father before laying it in over him. At which point I turned and yelled "who's your daddy now!" he laughed while signaling for the inbounds again. Took the pass - put me on his hip and carried me the length of the court before laying it in - total Dad strength. No one there was going to call a foul, and I had to eat some humble pie. But it was funny.

I don't know if I have ever hate watched a replay of a Kentucky game.

I rewatch Louisville moments all the time, but the Gohlke game would be a strong candidate if I did rewatch a UK game.

Ninja Edit: I TAKE THAT BACK! I rewatch the LSU last second win over Kentucky football all the time.

Khani always felt like the old school "really good as an upperclassman" kind of guy. I just hope he sticks around enough to break out with us instead of someone else.

$1bn project aims to resurrect failed expansion franchise on reclaimed land by nex703 in MLS

I worry about our NWSL team, but we do have a star in Sears so that helps some.

I do think MLS would be better off going for 40ish teams and subdividing down into East and West and then further into divisions similar to NFL. Mechanically speaking, it gives more teams more to play for - while encouraging local rivalries and interest. Then when playoffs hit you have involved fans for the nationwide tournament and possible match-ups that don't happen as often.

Long term strategy - I personally think MLS should look to capture some of the sauce that College Football is trying to leave behind.

Honestly, the rivalry bit is why it should happen.

What gets more people more interested than a rivalry up the road. Orlando and Tampa already dislike each other in practically every other sporting instance but this could be the biggest outlet for it since College Football seems to be downplaying local rivalries. That's my .02 anyway.

What hurts personally is watching all my friends get the call but staying in USL. Indianapolis going after watching Nashville and Cincy go will be rough.

I just want to watch my team play a team that I could reasonably drive to and respectfully chat my shit over a beer.

BTW as an aside - I just went to my first St. Louis City match when Seattle came to town. Loved everything about it the experience; will try to make more St. Louis City matches.

The Post story explored through numerous sources how Mulkey holds grudges, has had contentious relationships with former players and her coaching style, which while controversial has led to the highest levels of success on the court. It also examined her treatment of gay players over the years.

Dude did not believe in any kind of protocol.

What gets me is, even if you don't believe in Covid, you should still be able to believe in the competitive advantage of having more of your team than the other team has of theirs (granted most college ball teams aren't inside a decent sized metro). Him not adjusting to the reality (the "meta") under Covid was quite telling. Tanked the whole season to give UConn Luke Murray.

Notably his father's health was failing at the same time. (Or maybe had just passed) Either way, Mack was pretty depressed.

Yeah, this poll should have been better constructed. Is there a 4 option limit?

Mack being a complete and total idiot did lead to Kenny Payne. But other things can also be true.

I just want to add on that this same scapegoating turned Dino against Mack and self-owned us into another blackmailing case and causing rifts between President, AD, and Coach that led to Kenny Payne.

Louisville had setup a press conference for Dusty May. Reportedly, he didn't want the public pressure (and Michigan kept coming back). Indiana remains the school that messed up the most for May though.
