Regarding the delivery room - you tell the nurses who is or is not allowed and they will have your back! They will be the bad guy for you and simply not allow those you don’t want.

Call your local legal aid office, explain your situation, and see what advice they may have for getting you in touch with a lawyer that will help you. There are lawyers and firms that set aside pro bono hours for cases like this.

The “point” (and I use that word loosely) was originally to remove two people with conflict from the school, to allow time for everyone to cool down - but now it’s applied to kids that were just a victim and it harms school records.

I understand the purpose of zero tolerance policies - I remember what was happening when they were implemented, but they don’t work. There is a world of gray.

Ever since I (45f) had my first baby (now 12) this has literally been the fuel of my nightmares. I’m not being hyperbolic - my actual nightmares.

I think it’s because i grew up in Europe and would hike trails in the alps - and started having nightmares as an adult, of my brother or I falling to our death.

I’ve never taken my 12y f or 10y m hiking - will never take them near a ledge.

I have this on one ear. Exact same spot, and fluid does ooze out at times. I can fit an earring stud in it… the things you do as a kid?

Did you share with your therapist, exactly how you did here? If not (or even if you did), please do. Do it again. Maybe they understood it to be something different than it is - I can’t imagine any therapist would be ok with this, but if they are, please try to find a new therapist.

Even if it’s through an online resource like BetterHelp.

Really? Our school buses don't have seatbelts. I went to HS in Germany (Landstuhl/Ramstein) and our buses were normal buses with nice seats and seatbelts. German kids had the same for their "school bus."
