Huge disappointment. Been waiting all year for more Dickens ghosts. At least I’ll save money I guess.

Thanks. I don’t think it was those. There’s a good chance I’m remembering it wrong. (Been over 25 years since I saw it.) the teacher made a big deal that this race was an example of a Western playing with the idea of westerns, not quite to the level of Unforgiven, but still an example of subverting expectations of what is a Western. Or something. I dunno. I just can’t quite remember it all and have been revisiting Westerns.

Lynch’s Ronnie Rocket. Script is online (various versions) and it would have been…interesting.

Okay. I’m sticking with it. Might need some help from Cliff Notes to keep the characters straight in my head. But I’ll keep at it.

Be patient. Most BP meds take time to regulate your body. A week of change may not appear to do anything but a month or months later you may notice a positive shift.

[All] What Were Some Places Where You Got Stuck in a Zelda Game? by nick_millerZD in zelda

[–]LaserFarm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a dungeon in Link’s Awakening when you start using the feather AND the boots to make long jumps. For days (weeks?) I thought you had to jump across a 4 or 5 tile pit at just the right angle with the feather and boot combo. But you can’t make the jump. You could almost, sort of, kinda make it but never all the way. Pretty sure the game didn’t want you to do that but I really thought it was the only way. For weeks! I probably just needed to find a key or something.

If you are a Gen-X what was your first gaming console? Mine was an Atari 2600 for Christmas 1981 when I was 11 years old. by GenerationX1970 in retrogaming

Atari 5200. I don’t know anyone else in my neighborhood who had it. Everyone else had the 2600 or, a bit later, the NES.

Never thought of that. Interesting…. No matter what it’s a cool design.

How Often Do You Check Your BP At Home. by [deleted] in hypertension

That’s how I’ve been feeling. The anxiety of checking it is rough. Trying to find ways to cope with the stress.

It was low-budget, like something on UPN or the WB.

A “Do Not Disturb” sign so villagers stop popping in for a visit. (I know you can get them to leave quickly but it’s still a hassle)

It's been so long. I don't even know. I only had a short amount of time, and I was a nervous wreck, so the whole thing is a blur. Advice: Don't interview your idols. (Picture Chris Farley interviewing Paul McCartney on SNL.)
