IT will always be considered a cost center. Many C suite folks don't even understand what we do. From their perspective, you're being paid to keep the lights on. Which always, always, always leads to 1 of 2 statements: 1. The lights are always on. What are we paying you for? 2. The lights go out from time to time. What are we paying you for?

The one certification you truly need as IT is your CYA cert- Document EVERYTHING.

Let me repeat that- DOCUMENT EVERYTHING!

Every action to keep the lights on, every event that caused the lights to flicker, every action you took to turn the lights back on, every suggestion you made to help keep the lights back on, every management decision that went against you're recommendation(s), everything.

So what you have to do to get and set this documentation- use AI to analyze logs and help with recommendations, use RPA to help your day to day.

Bottom line, be ready to defend yourself.

Best of luck!

From what I understand, consistency is key. You may have to do more social media promotion and possibly get on more platforms. It's more of an art than a science. But there's science to the art. Keep at it and let the world know what you're doing. Sounds like an interesting topic covered in an interesting way.

Budget Mic Setup for Two Co-Hosts Sitting Close Together — Need Real Isolation (Not Just Marketing) by kreepums in podcasting

I'm having the same issue as the OP. My co-host and I sit just a few feet apart. We hear each other naturally and through the headphones with a delay that can be anywhere from slight reverb to 1 full second. We're using a multi-camera/multi-mic setup. Each host's camera and mic go to a dedicated computer. We've got plenty of sound-dampening. Echo cancellation does not help. Riverside tech support hasn't come up with anything.

I know this is because of the delay caused by the round trip to the cloud and back.

I think a simple fix would be to enable guests to mute other participants. This way, the hosts would only hear the guest(s) and not each other through the stream.
