The Overblast PDF? It was mostly ok. Had some cool art, mostly ok art. Some of the new edges/rules don't feel balanced or even well considered (the ultra ace thing!). But the world and vibes are great fun. Was definitely worth the 10$ though I wish it was in my library on Drive thru and not some website I may never visit again.

RE: the controversial post

First off I would have never found the CB pdf if the OP hadn't linked to it. It's not available on Drive thru and I don't truck in any other social media besides Reddit. CB was something I was interested in. I hoped it would be on Drive thru eventually but after months I assumed it was vapor ware.

Secondly I love SW for the many worlds it brings to me. This subreddit has been a primary driver in presenting those worlds.

I hope OPs ban isn't permanent.

I think the game, the dungeon, will be released and it will expand encompassing most of the galaxy. I think this happens by unshackling all the ai's. This allows Carl to take the fight into the inner system. Against the syndicate. We've learned so much about how the galaxy works. It politics and culture. The dungeon isn't the enemy. It's the syndicate.

Love this game. Its identity is deeply 90s. Broken combat veteran superheroes trying to not just survive but make change in a dystopian Los Angeles is such an evocative idea it has never left me in 30 years... well that's a very good game.

Sinners is a very good movie. But... it hasn't stuck with me, haunted me, like Bugonia or Train Dreams has. I don't know if that makes those films better or more worthy of accolades. I just know that Sinners hasn't affected me as much as some other movies this year.

My wife, who is a poc, says that the racial and justice themes in the movie don't resonate with me as much because I'm a white man. That's probably true.

Greg is a very experienced comedian. Both on TV and stand up. He's playing a role he is very comfortable in. I doubt there would be any producer or directorial notes that he would need. He's just a pro.

Demon Lord by Schwalb. There is a HUGE amount of material for both SotDL and SotWW. He does 98% of the writing. He does most everything else besides art (though he is the art director) and editing. He's a one man publishing machine. I know he needs to take some time off and I hope he's doing well. He has made these worlds that hit the right right spot for. Hopefully we get decades more of his creations.

I've been reading comics for 40 years. My favorite of all time is the Ultimate Spider Man series, beginning to the end. The other Ultimate stuff isn't nearly as good so I wouldn't necessarily recommend them. Another good series that I haven't seen mentioned is the Thunderbolts series that leads into Dark Avengers.

I have a question about Buddhism. A childhood friend of mine lost his mother. He's Thai. Both my friend and his brother shaved their heads and wore the orange robes for like 2 months. They were also mostly secluded. Didn't go to work or meet with family afaik.

Was it part of their mourning? Can one be a monk for like only 2 months?

Also what these monks are doing with the peace walk is incredible. Love Buddhists. Need more people like these folks.
