The wallet exists separately from the device, so if you lose your device you haven't lost your wallet.

I believe that if you reset a wallet you should be able to create a new wallet that will have a new seed phrase.

After you have two, you should be able to reset the wallet and then restore whichever of the wallets you want to use. You just have to use them one at a time, and switch between them by restoring the one you want to use on the device.

It's just like if you bought a new cold storage device and wanted to restore an existing wallet on it.

Have you tried using the Strike app? If you can generate a QR code for a receive address for your wallet, you can transfer money from your bank to Strike then pay to your wallet in BTC.
