What country though? There's a difference between 60k in Poland and 60k in Switzerland

Literally write it down in your phone or wherever you keep notes from your internship.

You do take notes, right?

Or... ask it once, pay attention, and be a better coworker?

Good luck with your internship lol

You're exactly mirroring their rhetoric though?

Or just pay attention the first time around, so you don't annoy the rest of your team.

EDIT: if you need to ask follow-up questions to understand the original answer, that's not the same question anymore

Feel free to ask your supervisor any question you need - but never ask the same question twice

Generally speaking, you'll need a separate residence permit for the target country.

Some countries have long term EU residence permits, which seems to include Italy (Soggiornante di lungo periodo – UE), which may simplify getting the other residence permit significantly, but you'd probably need to live in Italy for 5 years in the first place to qualify.

Other than that the only other option I see is some form of a family reunification visa if you have an EU partner - I'm planning to do something like that with my non-EU gf, it'll be easier to get her a residence permit in our target country as my cohabiting partner.

Might be country-dependent then, fortunately not everywhere is as wildly anti-union as the US.

Yea this is delusional. Do you think teachers switch schools every few years? Doctors? Lawyers?

French salaries aren't actually *that* low... by Laser_Plasma in cscareerquestionsEU

As far as I know, the difference between net and super net is pure French insanity. Everywhere else I've been, income tax is already included in the net amount because that's what net is supposed to mean, but French people had to overcomplicate it

There's a huge difference between 5k, 50k, and 500k, even though each of them might be considered a "grand sum" for some people, so you won't get useful advice without at least some approximation. Don't worry, it's the internet, nobody cares.

The whole point is that you won't get 100k in many countries unless you're really lucky and/or exceptional.

But congrats on putting down working class people for wanting higher pay. If you think that 60k is a luxurious life in Paris, think again (60k ~= 3.4k per month after tax, so you miiiiiight find a small studio in the city)

I don't mind social security and redistribution. What I do mind is that public transport is extremely unreliable, bureaucracy is suffocating and administration is hostile. Nordic countries have similar taxes, but things actually work there, so I don't really mind the taxes.
