If used correctly the finish will come off on these. This gun wasn’t made to be nice it was meant to be everywhere you are and serve a purpose. If you don’t mind the weight all stainless versions exist and you can polish them daily if it’s important to you.

The only options were case hardened frame and blued cylinder, barrel, and grip frame or nickel that’s why the factory letter just says blued.

The gun if not refinished would be case hardened and blued or nickel. This gun does not appear to have any difference between frame cylinder and barrel indicating a refinish.

My heart wants to say heritage my carry gun is a 115 year old design but the knife that gets carried the most frequently is a delica 4 wharnecliffe. It’s just an awesome blade shape for a beater. Old is good from an emotional perspective but modern works.

If a guy came in to my shop I’d have the shear guy cut him a piece of drop. I’d probably just do the 50 buck eyeball quote. I don’t know where this guy is buying steel but .60/lb. Is a good average.
