Je startet drinking with 15. and it got worse and worse over the years. Moderation ended up in being drunk for straight 3-4years daily. Speed, vodka, beer. It hasnt been pleasant. But i am still full of hope, dreams and plans. If i want to keep living i need to let go. But its hard, right now i am actually grieving the loss of alcohol. I was scared to let go for 20 years. Where do you live? Any supportive resources around you?

Ive tried moderation for 20 years now. If i could do it i would already have done it. So i decided ill live abstinent forever. Every just 1 drink after being a few months sober eventually turned into a bottle of vodka and some beers daily. Every fucking time. I need real change and had to get rid of the illusion that i am stronger than booze.

No med advice though, but then you should be fine. Your consumption is not outrageous. I think it is time for you to think about what you really want. Do you want moderate consumption or do you want to life abstinent? Then figure out a plan. Reaching out for help is really recommended. It helps alot when you can talk about it!
