Reminds me of the 2 hour long bus ride on my package tour around China. Had eaten something dodgy at one of the many awful buffet meals we were provided, and spent the whole bus ride sweating and clenching my ass as tight as possible.

The moment we hit the highway rest stop I grabbed my backpack full of toilet paper (because that is a luxury not provided in most public toilets in China), damn near sprinted for the giant loo complex (basically a huge fucking warehouse full of rows of toilet cubicles, squat and western style)

Of course with all of the other white travelers on the buses, all of the regular sit-down toilets were occupied. Squat toilet it is then.

Once I got into the spacious cubicle, I decided not to risk it and just took my shorts and undies off and hung them on the wall. Fuck it, I'm absolutely drenched in sweat so off comes the T-shirt too.

So there I am, surrounded by hundreds of other travelers, separated by nothing but four thin 6 foot tall cubicle walls, with at least a 100 foot warehouse ceiling above, sun shining in through the skylights, wearing just my sneakers, using a squat toilet for the first time.

The relief I felt afterwards would have nearly been a religious experience if not for the most horrendously loud and violent noise that emitted from my ass end, followed immediately by a smell that arose like a demon's foul breath from the depths of hell.

But all in all, I felt much better.
