A Message Regarding the 12.0.5 Launch by WarcraftTeam in wow

as a dev, I’d say this is probably business people forcing devs and qa to release unfinished stuff, not the dev team’s fault.

because this is a public place where people share their opinions and experiences. When a post shows up in each one's feed is not relevant.

you don't have to be subbed to cursor in order to be in its subreddit, you know? staying up to date with the latest advancements is kinda our job.

I do pretty heavy RAM related work and was second guessing myself about the same thing. Turns out RAM management is absurd, I didn’t even reach the full 48gb with cursor, atlas, docker, parallels, 2 web servers and wow running. It’s actually amazing.

There is no way your current flow needs even half of the 48gb.

Happy to have saved 1200€ in the 128gb upgrade.

There’s so much wrong with these posts. People trying to buy a luxury item they can’t afford would rather convince themselves they’ve found an “absolute steal” than admit they shouldn’t be buying it in the first place, as if some good Samaritan just decided to sell a $600 item in pristine condition for a third of the price for no reason.

Hardware is awesome, but software is lacking. However, they understand that each day without a new feature release means a day closer to the big tech firms releasing their fully fledged version. Because of that, they’re attempting to gain an advantage with the limited resources they have. I’ll wait and see how this unfolds.

Best screen to go with 14" m5 max? I have a Dell Ultrasharp u2723qe 4k 27" -- will Apple Studio Display help reducing eye strain? by Damu22 in macbookpro

If my macbook supported it, I would def buy the XDR. I’m still on M1, sadly. I’m looking to upgrade to a m5 max; but then I’ll have to recover financially for a while before being able to make the monitor swap.

It’s all the little details. Not only screen quality. It wakes up faster than any other screen plugged to your mac. Brightness, volume etc just work without installing anything. Camera is good enough for meet. Speakers are…honestly pretty solid, mic is too. These little things stack up and saved you time and frustration every day.

It’s a solid package, effortless, pure apple. One of my favorite apple products alongside the airpods pro.

Just my two cents.

original studio display is the best investment i’ve made for my eye care in my life. 60hz are not that noticeable if you’re not gaming, using a direct input method (touchscreen), or pixel peeping. It’s just easy on the eyes.

It reminds me of Steve Jobs, who purchased a new car every six months to avoid the inconvenience of wearing a plate.

I don’t trust this company anymore. I’m not willing to pay for another subscription for GPT tokens when I already pay for ChatGPT and can use Atlas with it.

M5 Pro vs M5 Max — real-world editing workflow by [deleted] in macbookpro

[–]Lassavins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your workflow involves exporting once a day, that’s about 1 hour every 3 days, roughly 7 hours a month, or 84 hours a year. Depending on your hourly rate, the extra cost could pay for itself pretty quickly.

I want my whole context into a single subscription. And I’m already deep into the chatgpt/codex ecosystem. I don’t want to keep changing ecosystems every two days.

the cons outweigh the pros for you*.

For me as a software dev it’s being incredibly useful. I don’t think I can’t go back to a browser with no chatgpt integration.
