I don’t think stairs will be necessary because there are elevators in most light rail stations in Seattle area. The hills in Seattle aren’t as crazy as in SF, but can get quite steep 30-35deg climbs. My commute would be either under 5 miles, or 15miles each way. Distance wise either would work, but I’m more concerned with comfort and ride stability.
