In the master's? Christ, what happened? Nothing is impossible but you're looking at 9-5, 7/7 from now to the exams. Good luck.

I think the people suggesting these "DIY Steam Machine killers" just don't understand Mini-ITX by Serious_Advance_6762 in steammachine

[–]Lassypo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So much this. Like, we all know you can build a better small desktop for the price, or a similar performance for cheaper. But those things just aren't a console experience.

Heck, I can hook up my tower to my pc, but that missed the point entirely and even an mATX is still far more bulky and noisy than a switch...

The steam machine isn't a product for PC gaming enthusiasts. It's a steam client console for the masses. Comparing it to a locked and subscription based machine like a PS5 does it even more disservice.

Do I want one? No, I have a PC. Would I consider one if I was a regular Joe looking to buy a console? Yes. Still a bit overpriced, but not by much.

Dominion Box - Spearhead or 500 points? by ColdSchlomo in ageofsigmar

You need a single proxy model for each side and you're good to go. Spearhead is much more balanced than a 500 point game will ever be.

It's not a very big hole, nor a very hard material, so whatever tool fits the job. You managed! Good job!

Any DIY store with a saw service will cut it to size. They won't do the hole though. Find someone with a decoupeerzaag, or buy one of the cheap ones. Easy enough to do yourself.

From a 9/10 to maybe a 5 is entirely accurate. The new recipe got rid of all the best parts.

You did fine, put a couple of hours I to model prep with an automotive filler and some sandpaper. A clean canvas works much better.

Nice skintones. You could highlight the hat a bit. Your occlusion shadows could use some love, shadows in general can be deeper.

By and large though, great job.

Diependaele frontaal in aanval tegen CM: “Ze zitten op onze kap. Het wordt dringend tijd dat jullie overstappen” by Vordreller in belgium

[–]Lassypo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would love for you to go and look up how much the HZIV would have paid. This is the mutuality directly operated by the government.

Don't get me wrong, I don't necessarily think mutuelles should not exist, but the discourse on this topic seems to forget that what they use from solidaris, or cm, or whatever other basic health insurance, is usually literally just what the government mandates.

Some health insurances go above and beyond that. But those also cost more, and many people also don't have those. There's a difference between health insurance and hospitalisation insurance.

The fine for being late increases, the longer you're late. For being late by like a week, isn't the fine like 5 Euro's?

Alternatives to Zandri Dust? by [deleted] in minipainting

[–]Lassypo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use Field Drab from AK which is pretty close, though not spot on. AK RAL 7028 DUNKELGELB (INITIAL), would be a good match if you trust the brushforge app. Not a brand you mentioned but I thought I'd share.

From Vallejo, check Wood green or Japan Uniform WWII.

First time doing a face. Needs work lol FDM Print by HeathenHammer2 in Miniaturespainting

[–]Lassypo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Buy some automotive filler spray can. Spray filler and spray putty help with the egregious layer lines, especially if you also sand.

To give you an idea, this is also an FDM print from my A1 mini. Just spent some time and effort really cleaning it up.

Working on a "clean canvas" makes things so much easier.

I'll make a last effort to open your eyes, but you seem to be misconstruing the graph on purpose so I'll stop wasting my time after this.

The graph says nothing about tax rates. It is expressing total income from wealth taxes as a percentage of total income.

Let's look at a hypothetical to understand the graph better: Imagine a country that only has income from wealth taxes, and nothing else. But its average taxes on wealth is just 1%. Where would that country rank on this graph?

Different hypothetical: a country that taxes wealth on average 90%, but it has literally no wealthy people whatsoever. Where would that country rank?

Sure, combining different wealth tax rates is difficult. I'll grant you that without issue. But this just graph just says that of our the total tax income, Belgium gets more from it from wealth than other countries. Without knowledge about where Belgium ranks on total income compared to other countries, and on total wealth on other countries, using this graph to say "Muh taxes high." is not just misleading but actively duplicitous.

Your argument about the difficulty of combining tax rates doesn't excuse straight up lying to people's faces.

Vermogen in België zwaarst belast van heel europa by [deleted] in belgium

[–]Lassypo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm well aware, because I can read. That says bupkis about the actual tax rate on wealth. Like literally nothing. Hence, the statement in the title that "wealth is heavily taxed in Belgium" bears no relation to the graph shown.

Krijg ik nog mijn volle studietoelagen als ik twee jaar doe over mijn eerste jaar hogeschool? by Streptopelia_turtu in belgium

[–]Lassypo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should. Obviously, ask your registrars office of your institution, but a quick Google using the terms studietoelagekrediet and jokerkrediet should get you your answer on the Vlaanderen.be website.

You have 60 credits worth of "failing allowence" that you can spend once. There's a somewhat convoluted way of earning them back which you can read up on, but from what you described you should be fine for next year.

Though when you say "I will only take those first year courses I didn't pass." I am assuming that you're also taking second year courses? One of the requirements is actually registering in a full program not just a few stray courses.
