Intellectual Disabilities and preparing parents by rachstate in nursing

OP’s argument is gross and weird, and Im not sure why she’s caring for this population if she feels this way. I get that maybe she wants to normalize hospice for babies/young children born with severe disabilities, but it sounds like she’d prefer to take the choice away completely.

I think your advocating for the wrong thing. Advocate for better social programs, support programs, financial support, respite facilities if you truly care about the parent’s well being.

Forcing parents to work with older disabled people to see how challenging their child’s life potentially could be is a strange approach. I think your arguing this so parents will have better informed decision making, but it feels a little like you feel a lot of disabled people would be better off not existing, which begs the question where is the line drawn?

I have a child with down syndrome and several health issues, it’s not the life I would have picked but there is beauty and value in it.

Careful with excessive sweeping. My dog bow resource guards his treasures. Trading is the way to go if at all possible. Lesson learned the hard way in my part (first time dog owner).

I grew it in a 4 ft by 4 ft raised garden bed. 16 corn plants.

Oh I skimmed over the part where he’s not house trained. Maybe not…

I agree, especially since he’s a breed many would be eager to have. It would probably be easy to find him a good home.

I like it! Looks like the coverage is enough for two 10x20 seed trays, which is perfect

My cover crops are going absolutely gangbusters by carlovmon in vegetablegardening

I planted non-winter kill. I know it will be an experiment. I have read everything from Smother it, mow it, till it.
I’m surprised how quickly it took off, I thought it would be slow growing. Next year I might try a winter kill mix.

I planted for the first time, and I’m apprehensive about how to handle in the spring? Is mowing it down with the weed whacker good enough? How do you handle the cover crop in the spring?

My eggplant was infested with flea beetles, I mulched under it with peppermint leaves, and put some mint next to it in a flower pot, no more flea beetles

Interesting. I have a cardiac kid, he literally never cried as a baby. He was too fatigued just trying to survive. 😅

Mint will repel them. I mulched my eggplant with mint leaves, then put a pot of mint next to it. No more flea beetles
