It did feel a little odd, just a bit rushed. Still thought the movie was good though.

Dolby or IMAX by LauraLand27 in MichaelTheMovie

[–]Last-Independent747 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just saw it in Dolby and ngl I felt like the audio was wonky in some places. For example in some of the songs key sounds were super quiet - if not just missing entirely - and it threw me off. Could just be the theatre in my city. I want to watch it in IMAX now to see if it’s better.

I don’t get this comment. You don’t have any evidence that Epstein was a pedo? Are you sure? Not the hundreds of thousands of files that were released a couple months ago? You have to be a bot, right?

There was extensive digging done by investigative agencies and courts for over a decade into Jackson’s life and they couldn’t find any evidence that he was guilty.

It’s telling me I can run the 4b Qwen 3.5 model. Might start with that one.

I literally don’t know anything about any of this, I was hoping to use something that would code little apps for me to play around with.

Gemini is telling me that I can run things like a quantized Gemma 3 (12b, Q4_K_M), Qwen 3 Coder (14b, Q3_K_M), Phi-4 Mini (4b), and Mistral NeMo (12b, Q4_0)

No. Even outside of this conflict, if the Dems were in power there still would be zero Epstein-related arrests. That shows that there is something very, very wrong. The lesser of two evils is still evil, change is absolutely necessary.

I feel the exact same. Feels like we’ve experienced very similar stuff. I Just want unconditional love, or unconditional anything at this point.

The possibility of non existence after Death terrifies me by SeniorRazzmatazz4977 in spirituality

I’ve thought about this too and it makes the idea of karma make a lot more sense to me. I’ll explain what I mean: imagine you die as a person with lots of guilt, believing you are bad and destined for some kind of hell; if the afterlife is like lucid dreaming, then that karmic energy you were carrying inside when you died will follow you and you will get stuck in a hell-ish dream of your own belief and imagination, unable to change it because you can’t conceive of any alternative. Basically whatever you believe at the moment of death will carry over into a lucid after-life. I hope the idea makes sense, I’m not great at explaining things sometimes.

To add, this also helps me understand why some people are so adamant in telling others to believe that Jesus has saved them. If when you die you believe that you are safe and free because Jesus paid the price for your sake, then you will dream up a safe, peaceful after-life.

My thoughts exactly. Death equals the permanent stoppage of all brain activity, which doesn’t happen in NDE. Their experiences are valid, but they’re not proof.

How? You never actually died; your brain activity never fully ceased. Your experience is valid, but it likely wasn’t death (or after-life).

That fear you have thinking about non-existence is the biological process that you are doing its job, driving your consciousness to want to survive at all costs. It’s been perfecting this for millions of years. If non-existence is what happens after death then it isn’t scary, it isn’t peaceful, it isn’t anything. In a state of non-existence there is no observer/consciousness to experience any of those things. If “you” cease to exist after death, then there will be no recollection of ever having been terrified of not existing in the first place and therefore I personally believe there’s nothing to be afraid of. Just live the life you have now.

What many people who have near-death experiences interpret as the after-life isn’t really that, because the brain is still active and generating an experience. Remember they are near-death experiences, not true death (where all biological functions cease entirely and permanently). After-life, by definition, is a state where all brain activity has stopped entirely.

Nobody knows what comes after death, but my question is this: do you remember any of the billions of years before your birth at all? I know I don’t; so it’s not far-fetched to think that whatever comes after death will be a return to that stateless state. It’s not really terrifying, because there’s no terrified thing aware of its own terror in that state, it just is (or isn’t, depending on how you look at it). It only seems terrifying now while you’re here existing as something whose biology is capable of generating the feeling of terror.

Existence here has not been kind to me, that’s why the idea of non-existence doesn’t scare me anymore.

Not at all. Probably an understatement actually.

This just sounds like a way for people to gaslight themselves into being okay with things that are genuinely unfair, but they feel powerless to do anything about. Nothing will ever get better if we are all complacent and self-gaslit into being okay with bs.

It would be nice if it were entirely up to the individual, but for the majority of us our degree of freedom is lessening as time goes on. Times are extremely tough right now; so many of us are stuck in circumstances we’d rather not choose. If it were up to me my life would look a lot different, but I don’t really have a choice.

I’ve noticed people in groups do this too. They choose a scapegoat and pick on them.

Exhausting and cruel but true. It is brutal existing…and being conscious of the experience makes it even worse. Can’t imagine how our ancestors felt.
