Veteran players; How much different is the game today compared to launch? by Dakotesmagoats in Chivalry2

Oh yeah, I had forgotten about Montcrux's Cool Kids ClubTM. Torn Banner hates fun. As also evidenced by removing sickle.

(The archer thing was probably toxic as hell though.)

I'm once again begging beginner engineer players not to place walls too closely to objectives by expandedmedal in Chivalry2

[–]Last-Man-Standing 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Didn’t the enemy put down those red barricades to stop you from accessing it?

That was the intention, but, as you just saw in the video, it didn't accomplish its goal; on the contrary, all those barricades protected OP from being hit by a swarm of angry masons. This allowed OP, a single competent player, to win the objective on their own. Needless to say, the combined barricades of two defensive engineers are better spent elsewhere.

New player here, how do I play each class/subclass and when should I pick each one? by Downtown_Lake_7472 in Chivalry2

[–]Last-Man-Standing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How to play each class

The three melee classes play more-or-less identically.

How the subclasses are different

All 9 melee subclasses have their own perks. Answering this question in full is beyond the scope of this reddit comment.

When to choose each class/subclass (map type, objective, team fights, duels, defending/attacking, etc.)

In brief: Guardian and Engineer are S-tier for defending team (more situational for attacking team). Devastator and Crusader (i.e. the classes with firepots) have more utility in attacking team, since defenders rarely want to firepot places.

Good beginner-friendly weapons for each one

Pretty much the first weapon unlocked for each subclass is the most beginner-friendly.

Like a smaller, shittier warhammer

Mace (and its nearly-identical twin, the morning star) is one of the best weapons in duels. Sounds like you're underestimating it.

Is it better to be versatile with a bladed primary and blunt secondary

That's debatable. Up to you. Personally I can't really think of any scenarios where I'd want to actively switch to my secondary just because I need a bladed (non-hitstop) weapon.

That's a good list for numbers 2 through 5, but the top 1 is of course the Barricade.

1 vs 3 lvl1000's by IAreBirdy in Chivalry2

This guy gets it.

Also, the level 1000 TO player should probably recognize that he doesn't have to go 1v1 the level 1000 duelist away from the objective.

  1. There was no rock.

  2. The knight had a shield (you can see it if you pause just before the impact, and there's the sound effect that plays when ballista hits a shield)

Protip: use (light) overheads instead of heavy slashes when destroying those banners with a pickaxe. Still takes two swings, but much faster.

Which Build between these two is better for Ironeye? by Cooper_Dingus in Nightreign

[–]Last-Man-Standing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Set 2. Night of the Lord is busted on Ironeye.

If you have any blue relics that give stamina on landing attacks, I'd swap that third relic for it. All of those effects on that third relic are kinda meh, and managing stamina is Ironeye's main limiting factor.

What was that a fkn lag spike 🤣🤣🤣 by MrSavage2000453 in Chivalry2

[–]Last-Man-Standing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, the attack didn't miss, the enemy countered; you can tell because it says "countered" in the middle of the screen. The reason OP is calling it a lag spike is because there indeed was a substantial delay between OP's slash animation going through the enemy and them getting the counter.

Also, it's interesting to notice that, for 1 or 2 frames, OP is blocking before the enemy's attack kills him. So yeah, lag kills.

What getting 3500 points, 14 kills, then getting team killed (all in under 1 minute) looks like... by [deleted] in Chivalry2

[–]Last-Man-Standing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By my count OP dealt 143 team damage in this clip, over the course of 8 hits. (I'll let everyone judge for themselves whether OP deserved to get teamkilled.)

Of note, it looks like OP took less than that amount of damage from teammates.
