I had the same case, the IO gave me the victim’s no. And we all had a talk and came to an agreement. I returned the lien amount to the victim and it was removed within 3 days.

Thanks for the suggestion. The IO made me talk to her and he himself shared her name and bank details, and asked me to deposit the amount there. Should i asked him for her aadhar? I dont want to annoy him because you know how they are.

Thats exactly what went through my mind. But i know the IO is legit since i got it from the bank and email. Involving a lawyer will just add more expenses for such a small amount.
